I bought this jacket to use at our mountain cottage but have found that I'm using it for everything. It's light enough to wear anywhere. Walking the dog, a walk in the woods or a quick trip to the store.

I bought this coat to wear as I volunteer at the local animal shelter. I'm outside for several hours at a time in all weather, and so far the coat stands up to everything - including large playful dogs! The fit is roomy enough to wear over another layer, but not bulky, I never feel as though my coat is getting in the way. Since I wear it working outside it needs to be washed often, and it washes very well. I would definitely buy another.

This is a very well made, stylish parka. The fact that this parka has no lining, makes it more versatile. It will be perfect for a cool day, or summer evening. It is designed so you could also layer clothing underneath if you need a little more warmth. I love this parka!

Have not yet worn this coat, but have tried it on upon delivery. It is extremly comfortable and looks great! I plan to wear it for casual events and for camping trips in the Spring and Fall seasons.

I missed the word "unlined" in the product description. My idea of a "parka" is a coat that is lined with fleece, etc., and is warm on its own without having to layer unless it is below zero. The jacket (is what I would call it) was everything I would have liked to have had if it had been lined - so unfortunately must return it.

Love this coat. In fact, this is the second one I've purchased - only because my first one (purchased 5 years ago) was starting to fray at the cuffs. It's comfortable, tough, you can throw it in the washer, and it's a great "spring" weight (or any time of year in California).

Use this coat when the temp is above zero - however, the size I ordered allows for a jacket that can be worn underneath to make it wearable in colder weather.
I wish it came with a zip out liner - it's great for casual wear.

Happier than I thought I'd be with it. Even though it isn't lined,it feels pretty warm. The fabric is rugged but I didn't think it was stiff. It holds the heat in which is good. It is a bit darker than expected but I still like it. As a bonus, the cut gives a slimming look.

For starters, I absolutely love this coat. I recently had to retire my classic three-season military jacket, which I wore religiously, and I'd never found anything that came close -- until now. This is a great barn jacket, taken to a higher level. The quality is excellent, the color is beautiful, and the first time I wore it out, my neighbor -- whom I've spoken to only a handful of times -- stopped me to tell me it's "gorgeous." It is, if you're into the style. It is rugged yet classic, and I plan on wearing it often.

Now, a stipulation. This coat does not have any kind of princess seaming or cut -- consequently, it is bulky. I am typically a size 8-10, but the size medium almost looked comically large, like I was wearing my Dad's coat. This would be fine if I planned on wearing it with a large swearshirt or fleece jacket, but I rarely do. So I replaced the medium with a small, and I ADORE it! I never wear a small, ever, but this makes the coat almost body skimming and therefore more flattering than if I were ordering my usual size. Just an option!

I can't begin to tell you how much I love this jacket, it is exactly what I wanted. The fabric is sturdy, I love the color, the pocket placement and even the black trim inside the collar. It's perfect for cool weather, running errands and walking the dog. It does run just slightly large but that makes it good for wearing with heavier fall clothes. This is going to be my go to jacket and I expect to have it for many years.

This is really cute and casual. Great for an area that winter is not extremely cold as its not lined but it is actually quite warm. Perfect for layering so you aren't too hot. Love it.

The jacket looked really cute in the catalog. Once I received it, I put in on and was disappointed. One of the snaps did not stay snapped. I thought the jacket would have a draw cord to bring in the waist a little. It did not. The jacket just hung straight with no definition. The jacket was on sale but it was still too expensive to keep for the quality issue and fit.

I was looking for a between seasons coat that could provide some warmth and protection from the elements without bulk. This coat achieves that. It would be better if it were lined, which would provide warmth when wearing short-sleeve shirts.

I bought a second jacket after I lost a lot of weight. I was happy to find that it was still offered. The jacket seems to stand up to much wear and tear hiking in the woods.

I totally love this jacket. I had been thinking about buying it for some time, and it wasn't until I read another review that I found out it has a two-way zipper. That was the clincher for me. It's very well made.
