BasicNet joins Fur Free Alliance’s fur-free initiative
BasicNet is pleased to announce that it has reached an understanding with Fur Free Alliance, an international network of animal protection organisations active in more than 35 countries that promotes the elimination of animal fur in the fashion and retail sectors.
Under this understanding, BasicNet has voluntarily committed to no longer use animal fur in the development and production of its collections starting with the Fall/Winter 2027 season.
For Woolrich Europe, this milestone coincides with the first collection to be fully developed under BasicNet’s guidance. The understanding forms part of the brand’s evolution following the acquisition completed last November and marks a concrete step in shaping the future of Woolrich collections.
Garments featuring animal fur trims from previous collections will continue to be sold until existing stock is exhausted. The commitment applies specifically to the development and production of future collections.
