Responsible Sourcing

Origin of Manufacturing

Although the Woolrich woolen mill in Pennsylvania closed in December 2018, we're still working to revitalize the brand and inspire new generations of explorers. The Woolrich archive has been preserved in order to protect its legacy. We pay homage to our long history and rich heritage by storing garments, fabric references, and a library of catalogs and advertising materials dating back to the 1930s.

We've been producing wool garments since 1830, and over the years we have been on a long journey toward sustainability and responsible sourcing. We have achieved RDS and NATIVA certifications and have turned to GOTS-certified suppliers for our organic cotton garments. With high-quality materials and innovative designs, we make garments designed to last.
