    Beautifully Awesome Coat

    Posted on Mar 6th 2021

I absolutely loved this coat, but it was too fitted in the arms chest. I wanted to keep this parka soooo badly. I wish Woolrich made adjustments to their coats. I would gladly pay to have the upper part of the arms altered.. or Woolrich could make the arms a little wides on their parkas. It is a winter coat and most people want to wear a sweater. The parka itself is sooo beautiful, high quality, and worth every penny. I know if I had a chance to wear it in the Boston winter I would be looking good.

    Warm, Cozy, Stylish

This is the warmest coat I own. I have all these coats in my wardrobe but yet I freeze every time I go outside and am terribly uncomfortable. That is until last week when this beautiful coat arrived on my doorstep. Let me tell you what I love most about this Parka. The exterior Teflon is a fabric that lets the rain and snow roll off of it. It's similar to a fabric coated raincoat. That is smart coat building. Lets face it, there is nothing worse that the wet snow making your coat feel even more heavy ..but not this one. The inside of this parka is layered with down. It is packed tight as not to be bulky. I am an average size person and I was fearful that my arms would not fit in the sleeves because they appeared narrow however they fit fine. The one thing you do not need is any bulky layers under this coat. You will be toasty warm without them. I will be honest and let you know I went back and forth between this Parka and the Taylor Parka and some of the Parkas without any fur. Ultimately my decision was based on these factors. Without any was just another coat. Deciding between the Cascade down parka that had this luxurious fur lining and the Taylor with the dark fur I decided that the Cascade could be dressed up or down but the Taylor hung there more on the dressier side with the dark fur. That is just my opinion. I felt that I could not be casual with it. I also love how the back of the Cascade Parka is a little longer and has an optional draw waist. The last feature is that the entire lining can be removed from this coat and you now have an awesome rain parka for Spring. The teflon lining comes in handy for the next season instantly. The Military Parka is most similar to the Cascade and a bit less money. The only difference is length. I chose this one because it was longer. I hope this review helped.
