This is the first sweater I've purchased with a zip-neck. I'm not a fan of standup collars, so I wasn't sure I'd like it. It exceeded my expectations. And the collar lays flat if you want it to. Very comfortable at the office over an Oxford and tie.

I like it so far but I have not washed it. There isn't much room for shrinkage. The color is a little brownish, while the photo was gray, but I like this color better. If it does not shrink, and I will be careful, then I will be happy with it.

Good, Solid Value at Sale Price

Bought on sale, the style may be a closed out. I was skeptical what a real lambs wool sweater for that sale price might feel and fit like. Once I received the first sweater was so pleased I secured a second in a different color. The cable detail on the chest and shoulders makes for a classic look that goes with just about anything I throw on. Love the zipper 3/4 neck- nothing worse than being choked by a crew neck! I practically live in these two sweaters currently. They are sized to layer, are robustly made, and keep me warm in a cold shop environment at work. Hand wash 'em when they need it in the sink, and block them on a towel on a radiator to dry. Fleece or cottons are probably less fussy to care for but wool is the best performance fabric IMO, and worth it to launder this way. I've got an athletic build 5' 10" ht 180#'s and the Large is sized amply to move and work in without feeling baggy. My arms are a bit on the short side, one roll of the cuff at the sleeve isn't a bad look and works for me. Don't let the China origin of the garment disway purchase- the folks that made these still did it right.

Bought this sweater on sale, great buy. This sweater is not real thick or heavy but very comfortable and warm, alone or under a light jacket. Very stylish the way it is woven with a 1/4 zipper, nice color also. Should last a long time, as all Woolrich products do.

I bought it on sale with two other sweaters and looking forward to using it next winter. It's well made, 80% wool, heavy weight and looks very durable. This looks and feels like a heavy wool sweater that I would wear in Scotland in the winter; and yes, I've been there at that time when the cold, damp wind blows in from the North Sea across Edinburgh. However this winter in the Central Mountains of New Mexico, it hasn't been cold enough to wear it. So I have a lighter, 20% wool sweater, the Men's Voyager Zippered Cardigan, that I wear a lot; and the Men's Navigator Zip Neck, 100% lambs wool and lighter weight that I haven't yet worn.

Exactly How I Imagined It

This sweater is just the right heft. Thick but not bulky, with a nice, understated style. I like the stripe-effect produced by the weave of the fabric on the shoulders and chest. I'm 5'10', 180 lbs. and the large size fits just right. Zipper's well constructed.
