Comments about Men's Alaskan Wool Shirt:
WE had to exchange this shirt as pocket snaps pulled off. Other than that it seems like a quality shirt.

This is a great shirt. It is the extra layer that keeps me warm, and I wear it pretty much every day. It is comfortable and roomy and quality made. I would highly recommend this shirt.

Alaskan Shirt made in China
By Timber Ben
from Brainerd, MN
The shirt has nice snaps and looks great. However the shirt was much lighter than I expected. For the price I was hoping for a shirt made in the u.s. It is a good shirt but not to the standards i was hoping for.

Nice looking, warm jacket!
By Jaret
from West Orange, NJ
Great shirtjac. It is not a very heavy piece of clothing, but it is very warm. If you wear it over long sleeves you won't have any problem staying warm even around freezing temp. Over short sleaves you will stay warm (if you are moving around) in the upper 30's/low 40's.If you plan to buy this shirt, take note that it is "scratchy wool." At the time of buying, the wool feels scratchy to arms and neck. Perhaps this goes away over time. I certainly don't mind it, but if you are a person who does, you should keep this in mind.

Nearly Great...

Great heavy weight fabric; just wish it still had the buttons it used to have...
Wonderful Shirt, but sadly made in China

About Me Comfort-oriented, Conservative, Practical, REDNECK
I own all the colors but red, which I have been unable to snag. The sleeve length is just a tad shorter then I prefer. I have a green shirt from a few years ago that was a Tall size which fits perfectly but sadly they don't make talls anymore.Really love this shirt, just disappointed about it being made in China. Would love to see American made products.

Love the shirt - but somewhat disappointed to find the materials thinner than an older one I have. Also made in China not USA. Sign of the times I guess...

Excellent quality wool combo

About Me Comfort-oriented, Practical, Stylish
Purchased for Dad, 83 years young for his log splitting and out door hiking. Grey looks great with his silver hair and blue eyes. Easy layering over his woolrich heavy flannel shirts which he can wear for work or home with their neat button down collars and front pocket. Love that it is easily washed. Perfect weight for autumn outdoors. The new grey goes well with the many colors in your flannel shirts. He has received many compliments on the shirt jackets appearance and versatility. Plan to purchase for my husband!

Glad the sleeves are longer
By Bode the Builder
from Bend, Oregon
I've been buying Woolrich shirts for over 30 years now. They are the one company that builds a shirt that fits me. I bought this same shirt in grey a year ago and the sleeves are margionally to short but I like it anyway. This time a bought it in brown and the sleeves are about 2" longer, which I like. The snaps latch more positively than the grey one too. Most of my shirts are wool rich including short sleeve and long sleeve cotton and long sleev wool.

Wool beats hi-tec synthetics
By Bode the builder
from Central Oregon
About Me Comfort-oriented
I work outside all day in Bend Oregon were one can experience 40 degree temp swings. This shirt/jacket is great by itself when temps are around 40 to 60 or layered when temps go below 40. Despite all the new hi tec products I m convinced wool is still the best for wormth and breathe ability. As for fit, most of my shirts are Woolrich shirts in cotton or wool , long sleave, short sleave for summer, fall, winter and spring.

Great product except sleeves too long
By Steve the retired forester.
from Olympia, WA
I've worn the Woolrich Alaskan wool shirt for over 30 years. It's a great shirt in terms of fabric and style. I've always ordered the gray shirt and decided to order the brown one as well. The sizing of this product has changed since I last bought it. I ordered the gray MEDIUM men's shirt several years ago and it fits perfectly (however I normally wear large shirts). I recently ordered the brown MEDIUM shirt. The shoulders and body were too small but sleeve length was just right. I sent it back for a LARGE brown shirt which fits the shoulders and body well BUT the sleeves areTWO INCHES TOO LONG! I'm keeping the shirt anyway because I love it but you folks are going to loose a lot of sales because your sizing is really screwed up
just like the old days

Warm and well designed.
Very warm --

This was intended to be worm indoors on cool evenings, but it is too heavy for that -- it would be great in colder climates -- it's too warm for the south. Quality and construction are very good.

I only paid so much for it because I thought it was in PA... Turns out it was made in china...
very happy
By Spencer the cameraman
from NY
I work indoor and outdoor and this is great for both. I am someone who feels the cold easily, so it helps me survive the NY winters. The product still feels like wool, even with the nylon percentage. With a cold wash and line dry, so far no noticeable shrinkage or colour change.I am 6 foot 2, 165lbs and waist 32...and the medium was a perfect fit. The shirt gives you ample length so no tummy showing when you reach for those high shelves! To sum-up. I am very happy with this shirt, I even bought the other colours, and have bought a lager size as a present for my brother this Christmas!
"I would buy this product again & again

Like an old friend in the damp chilly days of Autumn in the North East. Love to put on over a flannel shirt as the temperatures dip. Great to wear as a jacket in the truck. Very good fit and comfort.
Very Nice Looking, But Scratchy :/

I might have kept it despite its scratchiness, but the snap of one pocket was not attached. So I sent it back and did not replace it.
I would definately buy again!
