I have used the product whenever I go target shooting, which is what I wanted it for. It works perfect for me since it has many pockets to accommodate the items I like to carry with me. 3 places for the mags, and one for my ID, one for my gun, and many others for various uses. I recently wore it to the local gun show which worked out perfect for me. Due to the many pockets I was able to carry several products I had purchased and place them in the vest pockets instead of lugging them around in a plastic bag.

I'm not a shooter, more of an all day hiker: and this vest is simply awesome. Rather than dig through all your stuff to find something in a rucksack, every thing is available instantly-especially my bee sting syringe, because a sting could kill me. My pants pockets are now empty, and I can carry 1.25 gallons of water more comfortably than a ruck- the weight is evenly distributed across your chest-3qts in back, one qt. in each lower zip pocket. Excellent,durable, worth the money!

Bought this vest for concealed carry and to hold normal pocket stuff. Very good quality and works for what I bought it for. Quality commensurate with price. Pros: plenty of pockets, good construction, slit in back helps airflow, doesn't imprint. Cons: Gun pockets lack retention (will hold full size, but a sub-compact may get lost), ammo retention on left side only, liner thin enough to wear relatively quickly with weapon rubbing.

Very well made and functional vest. Numerous pockets for a lot of gear, and I like the heaviness of the cotton/canvas fabric. Will probably buy a second one. 10 times better than 5:11

Always need more pockets when hunting - walk alot and dig in pretty deep and use compass/GPS/maps etc - currently use a fanny pack and/or small backpack but get tired of having to strip down to get something that's always in the bottom of the pack. Going to try this vest for convenience and weight distribution. Will still wear small pack but will arrange all possibles within easy reach - should work out - would like to see one made in popular camo colors and perhaps blaze orange as well.

It's a good product and seems well made but I expected a Woolrich garmet to be made in America. Esp with a [$] price tag I hope the web site description says that somewhere but it never caught my eye. I would not have purchased had I known where it was made.

Great vest, Lots of substance; not a lightweight,
great for hauling a BUNCH of stuff for kids,and if so inclined; hide a handgun in. sage is great neutral color..all pockets seem to be in right place; well thought out right down to vents in back..well worth the price.....quality garment

This is a replacement for one I bought years ago. Excellant at hiding the "print" of a concealed handgun. After years of almost daily wear, the cotton finally began to fray at friction-points; I replaced it with 2 more just like it.
It can be a little warm in the summer though. A great idea would be a summer-weight version with double-layer canvas around the waist to hide a handgun's print.

Wore this to the range on the weekend I got it and was surprised how comfortable it was to wear fully loaded. I will leave the packs at home from now on. Perfect fit for mags, etc!

Got this on Friday and wore it to the range on the weekend. Even fully loaded with mags, water, etc the vest carried the weight evenly and comfortably. The pocket selection is perfect if you carry an M4 or similar type weapon. It was near 95 here on the weekend and while it was not thin the fabric of the vest did not get too hot. Lots of positive comments from people wearing another manufacturers vest. The biggest comments surrounded the four mag pockets and the color. Its nice to get OD green that is really OD green.
Only comment would be to add another zipper pocket behind the mag pockets on the right side.
