I only just got the coat but have already worn it outside here in Wyoming as a primary outer layer in -9 daytime temperatures. Superb!!

About Me Occasional Shooter
Great parka, just the right weight. Tremendous pockets and storage. Good zippers and Velcro closures. When hood is removed there doesn't seem to be a way (zipper or Velcro) to close collar.

As advertisted
By Steve

The jacket looks good, it was ture to size and it is comfortable. It has plenty of storage inside and out. It is what I was looking for in a casual jacket that doubled as a rain coat. I just wish it was made in the USA and would have paid more for it if it was.

About Me Law Enforcement/Military
I'm just about 5' 8'' and got a SM size after trying the Med. It's a great jacket the first night i used it was 12 degrees outside with the windchill bringing it down to -2 F. I needed a warm underlayer but it help up alright.

Favorite Jacket

About Me Hunter
I am 58 and have been hunting, hiking, canoeing and general outdoor adventuring since I was a teen. This jacket is my favorite and I bought it in both green and black. It's my "Tactical" shell now but it's fabulous for any daily outdoor activity. It's a shell and I am glad there is no insulation layer. I own very many high tech garments, but few have been as well thought out as this one. The quality and materials are just outstanding.I am a Large size but purchased an extra large for adding layers and freedom of movement in very active use. The size is perfect.

The coat is nice, but as a long time Woolrich customer I was disappointed that the coat was made in [*].
Great jacket, but not for the tall guys
By Dan

Great jacket, love the pistol magazine loops sewn into the pockets. However at 6'3", the sleeves were too short for me. Giving it to a friend.WOOLRICH, build this thing in tall sizes!!! A lot of professionals are not under 6'.

Good gear for the price
By Buford T. Justice
from Baltimore, MD
Was in need of a jacket/coat that allowed full range of movement and concealment without being bulky. This fits the bill while still being warm. Take a look at other major brands in jackets. Everybody wants $200+ for low quality gear that will need replacement in a year or two. This product and the price were just right. Only downsides were the velcro on the pockets (button are more durable and silent) and the tiny zippers. Correct these two thing and it would be perfect.

Great jacket

About Me Expert
Great parka so far. Layers great with the fleece and vest. Only negative I've noticed thus far: if unzipping the side to access a holster, the flaps still get in the way a little bit and there is no way to pin them back. I corrected the issue with a needle and thread and a small piece of Velcro. All in all, love the product.

Really excellent fit
By Pat G
from Kandahar Afghanistan
I've gone thru just about every "tactical" type of jacket out there. The "shells" are too small, most don't have side zips, very few are lightweight or packable. I am just inbetween XL, and XXl, and this is the first jacket that actually fits me....it's not as big as a tent, and it's not "tight". Sleeve length is perfect, I am a 37. My only complaint, and those raised by others...very surprised there is not a zip out liner.Ony other comment is that the material is very lightweight, so it could get burn holes pretty easy around the old campfire, or smoker.Works out well here in Afghanistan!

Excellent All Weather Outerwear
By ADKTroutBum
from Upstate NY
Used right out of the packaging for multiple days of winter mountaineering in temps ranging from +15F to -20F. Lots of venting options keep you dry while climbing and then buttoning everything up keeps out the wind and moisture when you stop. No issues with any aspect of this jacket - it's now part of my regular kit.

Very happy with my coat....
By JW
from Ontario Canada
I use my jacket as discreet everyday wear on the job in the homicide section of a municipal police department. The size, style, comfort and well thought out practical aspects of this coat make it great for getting around while being able to conceal my kit. the hidden display flaps are a nice touch. Thanks

Not expected!!!!!
By Big fingers Joe
from Afghnaistan
I do like the overall design, loose fit, and the extra pockets. Especially the magazine keepers in each of the side pockets, great. But the material is lighter than I expected and the girlscout size zippers need to be replcaed. Think about a guy in Afghanistan, 240 lbs guy, in the snow trying to unzip those little zippers with cold wet fingers. The thread size strings you attached are useless. Stop trying to cut costs and spend a little more cash and put big zippers in.

outstanding product

when I first tried the parka out I was very skeptical about the fabric and constuction but wearing it and day to day use has shown that woolrich makes very good products and combined with the tactial fleece makes for a very nice coat system

One Great addition to your kit
By Z-man
from Portland, Or,
I use this Parka in town and out of town. You have no restrictions in your range of motion. It has a great look and the side chest pockets can be accessed while wearing a vest and that's a plus. Easy to get to your gun belt with the side openings and the double zipper gives good options on fastening the sides for your own tastes. Dirt and rain just roll right off. I could go on and on. Just a great piece of gear.

Lovin the parka
By LCA

I love this jacket! I've gotten a ton of complements on it in the 2 weeks since I first wore it to work. I would have given the 5th star if there was a liner included (or even available separately).
Well-made coat at a fair price
By Coach T
from Grand View, ID
I plan to use the coat for general, every-day wear and while coaching track. Track meets and practices are some of the best tests of outerwear durability and performance I've ever found, with wind, rain and even snow being common events. If this coat performs as I expect it to, it'll be greatly appreciated. The pockets will be extraordinarily handy too, as I wind up having to store my own items as well as my team's odds and ends during meets.

Great Quality, Needs Liner Zipper
By RyanRSmith
from Cape Canaveral, FL
I knew that this jacket did not have a liner zipper when I purchased it, however I am even more surprised that it does not now that I have it! What is Woolrich thinking. These two products, jacket and fleece, should be a system. Other than this, it is a great jacket.

Love the coat
By He brings Peace

This is my first waterproof coat from Woolrich and I really, really like it. I purchased the Elite fleece liner at the same time and together they are awesome. My grandfather told me about "Richie" many years ago and he as usual was correct.

High Standards Exceeded
By Militant Mike
from San Diego, CA
This jacket is perfect. Features like the Detachable Hood, Waterproof (not water resistant) materials, High Storage Capacity, and Low Key Design (minimal logos) are a very difficult combination to find in today's market. Similar jackets offered by Timberland, The North Face, and Columbia don't even come close. I use the jacket for a variety of outdoor activities and its ease of use and excellent construction make it possible to maneuver in any weather. I sure hope this jacket is a mainstay. Thank You WOOLRICH!
