Read the specs and know the length. Second time I made this error in one order. One worked to my benefit but for these it did not! They are more like capris when not rolled up but have an odd fit, close to thighs then bell out - not very attractive on my pear shaped body. Ok..so let's try rolling. Oh my goodness. So thick to roll - even on my average thighs it looks like I added pounds. I'll save these for hiking for they are super comfortable, great fabric, and wash well.

Had a couple pairs of these shorts last summer and they were my 'go to' shorts. BUT....lost weight and now they are 2 sizes too big. SO...had to order some in a smaller size. Wish I could trade in all my larger size Woolrich clothes for the new improved size!

I would rather these shorts not have an elastic waist-when I sit down it feels like the durn things are going to fall down-but they look good. Guess I'll keep them since they do look nice.

As a mature senior, I had almost stopped wearing shorts. I tried a pair of the Spice Run shorts and ended up buying 2 more. The length is perfect for me. They wash well and are very comfortable.

I bought one pair at a retail store ... liked them so much, I bought 5 more pair online! The fabric is unique in that it's light-weight, yet sturdy. They wash beautifully. The colors are fantastic neutrals; go with anything. The adjustable length is a non-issue for me; they're unflatteringly long unless I fold them up. Overall, terrific shorts, and I'm so happy I found them!

Love these shorts. The elastic in the waist makes them very comfortable. I like the longer length and also the idea that they can be rolled up. I agree with a previous reviewer that 3 belt loops isn't quite enough. But, other than that they are perfect.

I haven't worn shorts in recent years but these have a neat appearance and the leg tabs give a length option. I wish the waistline was a little lower but overall it's a good fit.

Shorts these days fall at a strange place on waist. They are always falling down. These shorts hit at just the right spot and with the elastic sides they are so comfortable. Plus the details of the styling make them practical and good looking. I bought my first pair in a store and loved them so much I got a second pair on-line

I like the look better with the cuffs rolled and buttoned up, but the longer length is a good not-quite-capri length as well. Great pewter grey color.

Great shorts for active people

I'm an active, muscular, size 12 44-year-old. I don't want to look like an "old lady," but I certainly don't want to wear skimpy shorts. Many times, shorts that cover make me look fat, not fit for a large-boned gal. These shorts cover me well, fit great and make me look better than any other shorts I own. I bought mine in a store and was limited to stone, so I'm ordering the other colors as well.
