This beret is a lovely shade of grey. It has a soft,silky feel. It stretches nicely and stays put on my head. It is breathable and not over hot on a cool day , and is nice and warm on a cold day.I am very happy with it.

The hat is attractive and warm. The elastic is narrow (hope it lasts), and leaves a distinct ridge on my forehead after I remove it.

Very disappointing

This hat was very disappointing, especially for the price. I did like the light grey color. But it is a very small beret, not good for covering ears in the winter, and the elastic band is uncomfortable. It has a VERY open cable weave, ALSO NOT GOOD IN WINTER. I had to return it. Too bad. I expected Woolrich to offer practical, quality products. JMM

I was expecting a little heavier knit with this cap. Its weave is not very tight and wind can easily get through it. Because of this I think its slightly overpriced.

I like to wear this hat in chilly weather. It keeps my head and ears warm and is very pretty. For your information, it is labeled black but is actually a tweedy combination of blck and grey. It also comes in grey, which must be different. I really like this hat and hope to keep it for many years. One concern is that it has elastic around the bottom that perhaps could wear out over time.
