Comments about Hunt Trapper Plaid Wool Hat:
Bought this hat for my husband to go along with his Men's Classic Field Wool Coat that I bought as a Christmas gift a few years back. When he saw the hat he immediately wanted it and couldn't be happier with the fit, warmth and comfort of the hat. He took the boys out sledding and told me he was incredibly warm and comfortable! I did measure my husbands head to get the right fit and am happy I did.

Purchased for my son-in-law to wear during Iowa winters. He loves it!! Shearing is soft and provides perfect balance of warmth and wind protection.

Warmth when you need it
By Jeffery

I use this product when walking the dog, shoveling snow or anytime the temperature dips into the teens. It was 14 F and windy the other day and all I did was pull down the flaps and my ears were toasty for a 30 minute walk. I have a slightly earlier version with a velcro chin strap and it looks like the new double ring strap will be more comfortable and secure. My only complaint with the old version is that the velcro was not in the ideal place and the strap could be uncomfortable or come open. I will occasionally use this hat to hunt in seasons that do not require orange. One caveat is that is can be very hard to hear with the flaps down, but then again, it also is with ear muffs on. All around a great and stylish hat for those who brave any weather and makes a nice match to any vintage Woolrich jacket

my hubby wears this hat when testing driving cars without the convertible top. its going to match the red llbean coat he loves. it was kind of pricey but he works hard and deserves the warmth it provides.

problematic strap

the ear flap snugger is as difficult as it is archaic...appears to be a left handed setup and on the fly it isnt easy getting the flaps tight. Pricey for what you get..$60 range more like it.
