Bought this hat for my husband for his birthday because he loves hats, especially made of wool. The red plaid color pattern matches great with a gray wool jacket that he has. However, the one-size fits all is not a great fit. When he adjusts the strap to fit his head the fabric bunches up in the back and sticks out. If he loosens the strap the hat folds his ears down. I was thinking of trying to stitch the extra fabric in the back to make it look better or have a tailor look at it.

While the description claims this hat is 80% wool, apparently this only applies to the red plaid. The Brown hat is ONLY 20% wool. This is very deceiving.

My wife commented how much she likes this cap and she never comments on my caps. I think a suede leather bill on this cap would dress it up but for now, it's great.

I had such high hopes for a new work/out-n-about lined wool ball cap, unfortunately, it was way too large for my small female head. The theory and quality of the ball cap is impressive.

Yesterday, my opthmologist complimented me on my new 'Elmer Fuddy' cap. She said her husband has one like it, with ear-flaps. Obviously, not from Woolrich. Something for Woolrich to consider, however. I would have no qualms of wearing the cap in our usual sub-zero winter weather if it did have earflaps. Seriously, I've had a lot of caps in my 70 years, but this one is the best yet.

I plan on wearing this while hunting. I had hoped for ear flaps for the cold, but I'll manage. Although it appears well made, I just received it, so it will be "wait and see" if it measures up to my expectations, and whether it will hold up in the elements.

My son weares his Grandfathers Woolrich coat. All the kiids at school love it {11th grade}, so warm & great style! He only has base ball hats, they don't look so good with the red & black plaid. I can't wait to see his face when he opens his gift.

This cap is worn outdoors in very cold weather. The fleecy lining makes the cap extremely comfortable as well as warm.

It is so warm that it is almost too warm in temperatures 40 degrees and over. The caps welcome warmness would be even better if it came with ear flaps. Who wants a warm cap on the top of their head while their ears are exposed to the cold?

Actually this hat is a gift for my cap wearing cousin! He is outside in all seasons and has a collection of hats. I think he will like this when given it on Christmas Day.

The middle front seem coming off the top of the cap down to the bill starts centered but ends up about and inch to the right. Looks cheap and goofy because of it. Not something i would ever expect of Woolrich.
It was the same on the red and black plaid cap as well as the black acid washed cap. Very disappointing.

I wear this cap hunting and hiking in the winter woods of Pennsylvania. It is very warm, confortable...I wish this would be made in black or dark gray wool with the Sherpa lining...it would make a great looking go to work ...downtown hat. I recommend this to my friends and other hunters in the woods.
