It hasn't been cold enough to really test these jeans, but the heavier weight of the denim and the plush feel of the lining suggest that they will work well this winter. As others have noted, these are not "high fashion" jeans. The cut is a bit boxy, the waist is higher than the current fashion, and the leg is not at all tapered. But they are roomy and comfy. The bottom of the pant leg is surprisingly wide. Good news is that I can easily get my snow boots under my pant leg. Bad news is that I think it'll be tough to stuff my pant legs into my boots when there's a lot of snow. I am 5'5" with an average body build and usually wear an 8. The size 8, while about 2" too long, had a roomy fit, particularly in the thighs (not usually the case for me). That's ok with me because it means I can wear thickish thermal underwear and still move easily. I wish they came in a petite because I think a shorter inseam would've been better for me.

Finally-Flannel lined jeans that fit!

About Me Bargain Shopper, Casual
I tried on many pair of flannel lined jeans. Only these had the right proportions for my height and slim body shape. I need a long rise, and a straight cut. These jeans have both!

Loved them!

A little loose, but that's what I wanted. Wears well and feels warm. Not too big or small at the waist like other flannel-lined jeans I've bought from other companies.

About Me Casual, Classic
I will wear these jeans in cold weather while walking my dogs and around the ski slope when not skiing. The size 4 jeans are very comfortable, but I wish the tummy area and waistline were a bit tighter or snug fit for better tummy control. I am an average person at 5'7 1/2" weighing 135. I also wish these jeans came in "long" length so I could roll them up at the bottom and never worry about shrinkage in length since the jeans are 100% cotton. With that said I could try and shrink the waist but can not afford any shorter in the length. My best inseam at my height is around 33.

great cool weather jeans
By vroom

I bought these jeans to wear on the motorcycle in the winter. I tried long johns under normal jeans, but there are times when that is not enough. These keep me plenty warm and there is enough room to put the long johns on underneath if necessary. The waist and bottom fit great (a complaint I read about other brands). The thighs have some extra room, but for my needs, I think they will be just fine. The extra space is even a good thing.

I love these jeans! I live in Seattle where, as everyone knows, it's cool and cloudy ten months every year. These jeans are just perfect for wearing to work on "Jeans Friday" and all weekend. I've been buying them for my husband and son for years and finally decided to get a pair for myself. I've already ordered a second pair!

Functional, not pretty
By jlwleo

Got these for long walks in cold weather and they are nice and warm...but they're definitely won't attract admiring glances. The cut is blocky and the high waist is dated. Best for when you want comfort, not style.
Best women's flannel lined jeans

I've tried them all, and the Woolrich flannel lined jeans have the best combination of warmth and style. They'll keep you warm on winter walks and they look good enough to wear out in public.

About Me Bargain Shopper, Classic, Eclectic, Wanting comfort style
Really appreciate the quality of these pants. The size 10 fit my frame perfectly, but I do need nothing short of a 31" inseam (as these were advertised) and I think they are about 1/2" too short for me when put on. Perhaps it is the lining that pulls them up. Long-legged gals may not be pleased. Otherwise, I would order a 2nd pair if they came in a 32" inseam. I'll keep these, though, and wear them with boots only.

This is the 3rd pair of flannel lined jeans I've purchased from your company. Would highly recommend them. Purchased a pair for me, my son and now daughter-in-law. Keeps you warm sitting at the football games.

I have cancer and chill very easily. I haven't worn flannel-lined jeans since I was in my teens and when I received your catalog and saw these jeans I almost cried. I ordered them right away and I couldn't wait to receive them. I am so thankful.

Great jeans but they run big
By dutchie
from seattle
I liked the jeans and they were what I expected (good quality) but they were too big. I typically wear a size 4 and I ordered a 4, but these were too big and unfortunately these jeans are not made in a smaller size.

Way too baggy
By Calycanthus
from Suburban Philadelphia
I ordered these jeans knowing I would have to roll up the legs or have them shortened, since I have a 29-inch inseam and they didn't come in petite. But the overall styling and sizing reminded me of the way jeans used to be in the 50's -- very, very baggy. I don't see the purpose for this, as a cut closer to the legs would be warmer and still leave lots of room for flexibility. I don't think ordering a size smaller would have helped, and I was never crazy about the leg length, so I returned them. A pity, because I liked the materials they were made of and they seemed to be well made.

I will wear these flannel-lined jeans all winter, since I am cold-natured! One of the hems didn't look so good after washing, but I can live with it, since they are for casual wear.

About Me Bargain Shopper
I bought a pair of these at a garage sale and didn't even realize they were lined until I got them home. I was thrilled when I tried them on as the weather is getting cold here in Michigan. They fit me so well and are so cozy that I searched them on the internet so I could order myself some. I have never had lined jeans before, and I am sorry I didn't discover them before now!

perfect for long, cold Iowa winters
By Cathy

About Me "seasoned" customer
We moved to Iowa 2 yrs ago, I shopped around for a comfortable, warm pair of lined blue jeans. I ordered 4 different pairs from different catalogs. These were my favorite but I assumed I got them from another store (never thinking to look inside the pants). You can't imagine how disappointed I was when I received the thin, washed out pair of blue jeans. Finally realized they were the Woolrich brand and ordered another pair. Now, I'm ready for the Iowa winter!!

Odd cut

About Me Trendy
I wanted a pair of warm jeans and these are that, so I'm willing to suffer thru the irregularities. You should probably buy these a size larger for true comfort especially if you carry any weight on your hips. They have a sort of tapered leg, which is odd and enhances the pear shape (not in a good way). They also do not really stretch--so don't count on that if you are between sizes. The inner lining is pretty rigid--so you won't get more room from "stretching it out". Also, they have a pretty severe "mom" waist line. Given that these are clearly not fashion jeans and if you are using them for warmth while hiking, then the high rise waist is good for maximal coverage and warmth--but make sure you buy for comfort--if your objective is utility.
I would buy this product again.

Right size; wrong shape
By Wild Phoneme

About Me Bargain Shopper, Career, Casual, Classic, Eclectic, Sexy
These were very nice jeans, but they are just not the right shape for my body. I am a size 10, and the jeans gap at the waist in a way that can not be overcome by tucking or belting. I'm sad, because I really wanted a pair of lined jeans.
