This is the skirt I've been looking for. Simple, classic, flattering shape, not too straight or too full, nice weight for year round wear, a comfortable length, and well made. Comfort is my #1 rule. I ordered one in denim and black and after trying one on I immediately ordered two more! Then went to my closet and removed all the other denim skirts I owned that didn't compare to this one in comfort and looks. If this sounds extreme let me add that I wear skirts all the time and own a pet sitting and dog walking business so I need to be comfortable but look professional too. This skirt will be a staple in my wardrobe for years!

I bought this skirt a size too small on purpose because I am losing weight.
It will be perfect when I reach my goal weight. It fits snug in the waist and stomach area anyway. The only problem is the zipper is not completely sewed in leaving a quarter inch gap at the base of the zipper. Will have to have repaired, easier than returning. Just be aware. Otherwise it's the nicest looking denim skirt I've seen. Not old fashioned looking but stylish

This is a great addition to the wardrobe. It can be dressed up for more formal wear or down for casual wear using different tops including tee shirts,sweaters or blouses. It can be worn almost all year round as it is neither too heavy nor too light. The color is a nice medium blue denim and the style is classic and slimming. I have worn it with sandals, clogs and boots and all look good. I would recommend washing in cool water and hang dry to maintain it. I am 74 years old and 5'10" weighing 150 and the size 10 is perfect. Just another high quality product from Woolrich..........

I have another Big Ranch Skirt from Woolrich that I have had for about 15 years, and I have loved it. I am tall, 5'8", and shorter skirts are just too short for a 50 year old.
The fabric on the new skirt is different, but the style is very close to the same. I have been checking the website for quite awhile for this one to be in stock, and I ordered it in the same size my old one came in (16), This is the largest size and the one that usually fits. Unfortunately the new skirt is significantly smaller. I am reluctantly keeping it and using it as incentive to lose weight.

I wear this to work with a nice t-shirt every day to a casual (but not jeans and sneakers) office. I never get tired of it, and it works for almost any situation. Since my weight fluctuates, I now have 13 in a range of sizes. The only improvement I can think of is to have the darker denim be a truly dark denim, rather than a washed denim.

Very slimming,flattering & subtly youthful. I would really like to get it also, in light blue denim.
These skirts go with everything,Tees, blouses,shirts,almost all my sweaters, and with moderate heels, good for a casual night out. I would have loved some wrinkle resistance built into the fabric, but the skirts are so easy to iron that factor is not essential. I very much like having the little hidden pocket at the waist band, a MUCH needed item for me.
This slim skirt style is also flattering for older women, regardless of their activity level, but as a very physically active 'master gardener",
I find it more youthful than most of the clothing designed with us in mind.
BUT I REALLY WOULD LIKE TO GET THIS SKIRT IN LIGHT BLUE DENIM!

This is an excellent skirt, but too long for me. I feel is it is not age appropriate. I am 49 years old. 25+ years ago it would have been perfect especially since I was Preppy Handbook fan. Sorry I had to return it, but as Oprah says if you wore it the first time it was in style, you are too old to wear it the second time it is in style!

Lovely, long and modest but classic skirt that can be dressed up or down. I love the simplicity of the skirt, while still has small hidden pocket in front. Seems to run small, and is 100% cotton, so considering ordering up a size.

I find the Big Ranch Skirt to be the most comfortable, useful and easy care garment I own. Although the property here isn't quite large enough to be called a ranch, this skirt goes to feed the animals, goes to pick up the mail, does the grocery shopping, attends meetings - and still comes home looking good. One of the best purchases I've ever made. I hope to be able to purchase one in each color. The slit is long enough for comfortable striding during a good walk. The waist loose enough for non-binding during exercise or hard outdoor work. Even after many washings, it looks neat and tidy when worn while I'm sitting in a board room.

Haven't had a chance to wear it yet, but know it will be a favorite. Have wanted a blue denim skirt for a long time, and this is a very nice color and fabric. I'm petite, and it's ankle length on me. I'll think about shortening it a little.

I have a boyish figure and this skirt fit very well. I can see how the waist would be too big for someone with a smaller waist. Unfortunately the skirt was WAY too long. It came to my ankles and I didn't want to bother shortening it so I returned it.
