My sister gave me two pairs of these socks last year because my feet are always cold. Especially when I go outside. These socks are the ONLY socks that kept my feet warm. I've bought others that were suppose to do the same but didn't come close. So I just bought two more pairs of the Big Wooly. I also like the fact that they come up over the calf. Those are hard to find. Get these socks. You won't regret it.

Bought these socks last May on our way to Stowe vermont for a few days of hiking. fit well in my hiking shoes, not to bulky, came up mid calf. Have been on about 6 day hikes this summer, no rips or tares.

Having had frozen feet, I am sensitive to cold and require warmth up to the knee. This sock does it. Only complaint is it feels small. I wear size 10 1/2 and ordered large (For men shoe 9-12) but heel area on sock does not come up to my heel. It comes up to knee but it is a stretch. It feels small. Otherwise, great product. Next time I would order XL, and hope it is not way too big.

My first pair lasted 6 or 7 yrs. I wore them hunting and sometimes for work. I finally tore one but it was my fault. I would still be wearing them. Tough as nails, but soft and Very warm.

I just love wool socks. I walk an hour each morning in every weather. I purchase crew wool socks for my father, husband and sons as well. Really warm, real wool, thick knee socks are getting harder and harder to find. Thanks!

Great product for people with Diabetes. Feet were always cold before -- not since using these socks.

For my trout fishing, I bought another pair of the over the calf Woolies . With goretex waders and wading boots, these socks add comfort above the ankles, where most socks stop.

I WASH SOCKS IN COLD WATER AND THEY STILL SHRINK, ALITTLE EACH WASHING. THATS A BUMMER
BUT I DO LIKE THEM JUST WISHED THEY DIDN'T SHRINK THEY DO GET TIGHT IN THE FOOT.

I received two pair of Big Woolly socks three years ago as a gift. They are my favorite socks as I used to work outside in below freezing weather through the winter months. I now work in a steel and concrete building with no heat and these socks keep my feet comfortable. I ordered two more pair but I wear size nine shoes and the sizing chart didn't help me out much. Also, when I got the socks, they fit a bit small but after one wash they were almost too small for my wife's small feet. She loves her new socks. I will be ordering two more pair of a larger size for myself

These are for my very tall son who wears quality everything. I call these "fearless" because you'll never be afraid to go out into the frigid weather if you're wearing these socks. My whole family loves them.
