Comments about Men's Wool Cruiser Coat:
Fit really well. Liked the color. Not very heavy. I would have liked the coat to have internal pockets for cellphones etc.

perfect jacket for on the town
By mesick matt

Great jacket for on the town. It is dressy and has a game pouch just in case. The coat is a little big if you are just wearing a thin shirt, but perfect if you are wearing a sweater/ sweatshirt.

The picture on the site doesn't do it justice. Much nicer in person. Definitely order a size down from what you normally wear. Couldn't be happier.

Great casual coat

I love this coat. Great for casual outings. It is a nice weight. Sleeves are a tad long, but the buttons can tighten the cuff enough so it works ok.
Runs Big

I was looking for a longer coat for evenings out to movies, dinner, or even to church. This coat is well made. although, I don't like that it was [*]. Do order a size down I normally wear an XL;I ordered a L and I wonder if a M wouldn't of even fit. I order the olive and it is a very nice color. I think you will be happy with this. This compares with some of Filsons.

Long Lasting Style for men
By Blue72
from Southern , NJ
I like this coat, although it is darker than the picture shows. The buttons are big and firmly attached. The 4 pocket design looks cool and is functional. The collar flips up to block the wind. The pheasant pouch in back is cool; but you better wrap those birds in plastic first this coat is dry clean only. The wool is dense and firmly packed and the " hunter " style is a nice alternative to the preppy look. The collar flips up to block the wind. The entire coat has a smooth cool polyester lining that is functional & keeps out the itch. The coat is worth the money , got mine on sale: though. The only dislike is that it was made in China, & the seams could be triple stiched like Carhartt does. I would like a made in USA option!

I would buy this product again.

This is a very well made, comfortable, warm cruiser coat. Comfortable as soon as you put it on, and rugged - it feels like it will last for a 100 years. I love it. The only problem, if there is a problem, is that it runs very large. I am an XL. Had to return the XL as it was a true XXL and it dwarfed me. The L that I got in return is, in truth, slightly larger than a normal XL, so it's still large on me and the sleeve length is very long. Just be aware that you can safely "downsize" on this coat. Otherwise, it's terrific and well worth the money.

Men's Wool Cruiser
By Disappointed

I originally ordered this coat in LARGE, a size I normally wear. That size coat was much too large. It was returned and replaced by a medium. Better, but as might be expected, a bit snug. Woolroich was helpful in the exchange. The fact remains that there is a quality control issue with this garment. Possibly sending correct patterns to China may help?

Very Nice Quality
By Longbow
from Dallas, TX
I was impressed with the quality. Based on reviews I ordered a L instead of my usual XL. The L fits great with room for a thick sweater underneath. The sleeves are a tad long which is a good thing.I like the classic look and think it's a multi-functional coat. I could wear into the woods or to a nice restaurant...I'm glad I found my all-around, every-occasion coat. At the current sale price, it can't be beat.

Classic and useful coat
By Grumpy
from New Mexico
A nice outer layer since it is virtually wind proof and will keep you warm in a light shower. It layers pretty well over a light sweater for colder conditions. Lots of pockets so you can take stuff with you when you will be out all day. Good quality at a fair price. A little lighter than the F brand but lined to layer better, more pockets and much less expensive. Longer and better cut, with a better collar than the LLB brand equivalent. I think it looks nicer too. I use this coat when tending to sheep and goats in cool, damp weather. The material tends to collect grass, dirt, hair etc though.

Very nice

Very nice Jacket (coat?)After reading reviews I orderd the Crusier Jacket in my Rgular Size XL, hoping it would fit one size larger as I wanted it as a Short overcoat. This worked out well. On The same order I Bought an XL mens Passage down jacket and the XL crusier fits comfortably over the passage jacket either open or buttond. If you are looking for a regular fit jacket then you might want to order one size down. If you want a short over coat (as in covers your bottom but minus the skirts)then your regular size might be what you want. As for the loose fit of the buttons this is actually an advantage for the ease of buttoning or unbuttoning the coat (or jacket).Hope this helps.
Nice Coat and good sizing
By Russ
from Chicago, IL
This is a nicely talored coat that doesn't feel bulky. I have long arms and usually if I buy a large size the sleaves are too short but this coat sleaves are prefect length. My only complaint is that it's not made is USA! The label says "made is China". Was a bit dissapointing to find this out but I think the quality is still there. However I'm not supporting American jobs buying this coat.

a litttle over-rated
By Ace
from Beaver Dam WI.
Seems to be too much "ease" in the garment, too loose in the chest and waist, and an inch too long on the sleeves, I ordered an XL as my measurements are 44 chest, 44 waist, 35 sleeve, shoulders and length were great. The liner seems to draw the cold thru the wool even when wearing a T-shirt & heavy flannel shirt the chill went right thru me. 30 degrees out with a 10 mph wind. I will use it but will explore having a differant liner put in, or using more than 3 layers. happy I paid less than full price or it would have gone back.

Great Coat
By Construction Worker
from Everett, WA
This is a very nice jacket and competes well with the much more expensive Filson. It does run a little big. I am 6'2", 225# and have pretty long arms, 36 1/2", and the jacket is a little long, but the large would have been too small.

Classic Design Meets Contemporary Style
By Two Crows Tapping

Although I expected this coat to be much "thicker" as in the Woolrich classic hunting coat I own, it makes a handsome statement right out of the box. Other buyers mentioned they thought this coat ran large and felt the sleeves ran long. I do not find this to be true in my case. Every "body" type is different, but in my case the coat fits like a glove. It is thinner than I expected but is cut full enough for me to where a fleece comfortably underneath. Like another buyer mentioned, I too wear hats, both fedoras and Western. The coat does make a classic western statement paired with my favorite cowboy hat. Over all, it is an excellent and versatile addition to my coat collection. It is not a severe cold weather coat by any means. If you are looking for a cold weather winter coat, go with something thicker and warmer. I have not had the chance to wear it outside as yet, but I anticipate from the Woolrich quality of the coat it should prove both warm and good in the rain and snow. The hardest part is picking which color to get!

By Stevo-keneval

Great jacket that I have received nice comments on. As others have said, this jacket runs large and you should feel comfortable ordering down a size...still plenty of room. I wear it to the office and I wear it splitting fire wood. This jacket is built to last and I'm planning on ordering another one in black when they're back in stock. Just remember to order down a size.
beautiful coat at a bargain price
By veryhappywithcoat
Fit is a bit large but allows layering. Very well made and flattering design--sort of like a pea coat but more pockets and a little more unconventional. Hits me below the hips (size Medium and I am 5'9") for a nice 3/4 length.
Great coat!!!
