All in all a good buy. I bought a medium (using the sizing chart) and it was too small. I then read some of the comments and others experienced the same sizing issue. I sent back and they promptly exchanged. They did charge me an additional $6.95 for shipping. I thought that they should have done this exchange for free - as their sizing chart is really not accurate. That is why I give it a 4 star instead of a 5. But it is a very nice vest.

This vest is light enough to wear in warmer weather. Looks great. The button-up design is a great look, wish the railroad style vests had buttons.

Was disappointed in stitching detail which ran over in areas. Loose threads. Can fix myself but not the quality detailing expected. Other than that the vest is great.

I am a size 50 jacket and 6'-3" and the XXL is a perfect fit. Actually has more room than I expected. Very pleased with the quality and looks. Vest got the thumbs up from fashion designer girlfriend.

The vest was to small The shirt fit fine, however the vest was the same size and would not button. Also paid extra for two day shipping. The items took five days to get to me and shipping cost over $30.00 now I have to send the vest back and that will call me over $6.00 to return.

Bought this as a gift for my boyfriend. He wears an XL in other Woolrich items but this vest was way too small for him, so we had to return it. However it's a nice-looking vest and if it fit he would have loved to wear it.

Good product both my husband and brother in law received this for Christmas present and it fit both extremely well. One is 5'8" and 165 lbs the other is 6'1" and 175. They both received larges and both fit just right. Amazing vest. We all love it.

Not a warm outdoor vest, as is the Utility Vest from you....I LOVE THAT VEST...returned this Ruxton for another Utility. THAT is what I wanted. Also.... the Ruxton is not as much quality as the Utility. I do not think the Ruxton can be used and abused as much as the Utility Vest. Ruxton is more for dress up.

This is my second Ruxton vest, I have them in both colors. I really like the style and quality of the vest but I wish it was not cut quite so tight and had a little more room in the arm holes. I am a solid medium but this vest just barely fits. I'm a 33" waist and 39" chest. If your dimensions run any larger you may find you need to go to the large. FYI, I own several vests, all mediums and this is the tightest fit.

The vest is good-looking - my wife loves the way it looks on me - and very comfortable. I get the lightweight warmth, size, and fit I'm looking for. However, I'm disappointed that (1) it arrived wrinkled, which I attribute to poor folding and/or packing (so it's already in need of a pressing); (2) there are many loose threads - at seams as well as in the middle of the weave - which make it look a bit shabby.

I love everything about this vest. I bought it to dress up my jeans and for light-weight warmth when the temperature is between a coolish mild to a coolish cool. It certainly lives up to these expectations.

If you wear a xl size it is some what tight in the arm pits and across the
chest. The xxl is way to big if you wear an xl. Just a little more room in the
xl would be nice.

I first ordered a Large, but it was too small. No problem with return. Ordered the X-Large, which fits great. I love this vest.

Woolrich offers a number of attractive vests. I chose the "Men's Ruxton Wool Vest, in SLATE" because it was a botton-up rather than zip up. The look and feel of the vest is very nice, with a subtle herring-bone pattern that speaks of richness and quality. A darkish neutral which will go with many colors of shirts and slacks. I'd rate this vest 5-stars except for two things which I wish were different. The back and lining are a much lighter, unpatterned color ("putty") than the front. And the chest/waist is not cut roomy enough to be called "medium" ...as compared with what Woolrich calls "medium" in their shirts. So while the length is just right, the chest/waist is too snug.

I like the item, however the color was MUCH lighter in the picture and did not work with the clothes it was bought to be worn with. Somewhat disappointed but I guess tht is the hazard of shopping online.

I wear a medium in all my clothes, but this vest in medium was WAY too small, couldn't even button it. I sent it back for a large and was worried it would be too long (I'm 5'6"). It wasn't, it is a perfect fit. I like the lightweight feel of the fabric, even though it's wool it's not too warm for me, which is often the case. The gray check pattern/color goes well with most of my shirts and adds a nice touch of style. In fact, I wore it last night to dinner to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday and she thought I looked handsome (imagine that).

I can;t tell you a thing because I am still waiting for delivery. UPS transferred the garment to the post office. It is three days late now and I will be lucky if I ever see it. I suspect it is a great garment, but still waiting.
