Funky Fit, Nice Fabric

I wanted to like this shirt, I bought two, ecru and brown. The fabric was fabulous.I ordered my usual size, large. However, the top was snug. I have DD top and small waist/hips. This top was not figure flattering, even if I would have belted it. If you have a curvy woman's shape, it just does not look tailored.

I took the shirt out of the package, ironed it and wore it on a road trip. Received complements on the style and color. I wore with faded jeans, bought planning to wear with dress pants to work (teacher), so I can already tell it will be my go-to shirt for anytime. Washed and dried it - came out beautiful!

This shirt is gorgeous! I bought it in red and white. The white inspired me to wear my pearls and with rounded, keyhole style neckline, it looked great! I tucked it in with a fancy belt and wore a tweed jacket over it. I felt elegant and got looks wherever we went.The red shirt is a rich, exuberant color and festive looking which made me feel the same. It's perfect for going out with friends and celebrating life.

Not flattering.

Bought 2 colors in 2 sizes, as sizes are inconsistent these days. Loved the red; green not so much. Style might be flattering to a female with no hips and a normal to large chest. The XL hung pretty well on my hips, but was big and sloppy on top. I am normally a true size 14. Disappointed. All were returned. Now that longer tops are in style for wearing over tights or leggings, why would the cut best suit a male with no hip bones or behind?

I really like style and fabric of this shirt. It's great under sweaters, etc where you might usually wear a nice white T. It dresses up the look. However, I was looking forward to receiving it, and so disappointed when I got it. I loved it, but it was two sizes too large. I am a 36/37 B, and I had ordered a Medium per their size chart. Per Woolrich there was no way to exchange the blouse for an XS. I find this policy very outdated when other retailers will comp the shipping on the exchange. I have no problem paying the original shipping or the return shipping.

The shirt is comfortable, many people have told me how nice it looks, then asked where I bought it. I do not like to iron, so I damp dry it and hang it up to dry, looks great when it is dry. Love the earthy colors, I have 2, green and a rust color.

I guess it just wasn't what I expected. Not a bad shirt, but I got the "ecru" and it is too see through to wear without something under it and I don't like that there is a woolrich tag on the outside of the shirt on the side seam. I got it on sale and don't think I will spend the money for shipping to return it.
