I've enjoyed Woolrich wool and cotton shirts for years. For 20 years, whenever I was hiking or backpaking, I had a red Expedition shirt either on or with me. Your Explorer shirts mount up in my dresser until they fall apart from frequent use in appropriate (business casual) and excessive use (splitting wood, carrying lumber on my shoulder), years later. Its the two flap front pockets, so rare in shirts, that turned my head. The down side is that I have a surplus, so no more shirts for a year or so. Discovering the quality of your socks, however, means more socks, sooner than later. They made hiking that much more pleasurable. Try as I might I can't think of not-so-great things....Keep up the good work!

Sometimes there is a cold draft on the floor of my office. These socks combat it nicely, and kee my ankles warm.

The only negative is they feel about an inch short on the calf compared to other crew-length socks.

Socks are great for the outdoors, especially cool weather, snow, or rain. Very comfortable and soft cushioned.

When I got up this morning, the outdoor temp was 18 and indoor temp 60. The tiled kitchen floor was really cold, but I barely felt it through these socks. I only bought one pair, but now I'll be buying more of these! Only drawback is they are thick enough that I'll need to get a wider pair of boots.

I was looking for a thick, warm sock to wear around the house this winter. These fit the bill. They are very warm and do not cause my skin to itch. They launder well. My only dislike was that, since I wear a size 7 shoe, I had to order a medium sock, and they are a tad too long for me. However, since I'm wearing them at home, I can manage. Very comfy!

These were actually purchased for my husband - he's been searching for new "favorite" warm socks and since the ones he used to love were discontinued it's been hard to find any that he likes as well. I saw these and ordered a pair. He liked them so much I ordered two more pairs and if he finds he's wearing them every day I'll order more!

I walk 8 miles every day with my dog. We walk every day in every type of weather. These wool socks keep my feet warm and dry. The socks fit my feet perfectly and don't bunch up in the toes or heals. These are my everyday socks. I first bought these socks when I planned to hike in the Grand Canyon. I took the Bright Angle Trail from the Rim to the Colorado River and back. The hike is about 15 miles length. The temperature at the bottom on the canyon was 108. I was exhausted, but my feet were in great shape. I have worn these socks ever since that hike.

The Woolrich Ten-Mile sock is not too thin. Not too thick, either. The moderate thickness and cushioning is just right to help me get the best fit out of my shoes.

These are the exact socks I bought for my husband at a local store a few years ago. Then, they no longer handled them. He is very pleased with finding them available online! He has 2 pair that I bought him before which are showing NO WEAR at all! Yes, he wore them as soon as they were in his dresser again after being washed/dried. He really loves them! Maybe Santa will get him a few more pairs, which will put less pressure on Mrs. Claus to get them washed & dried immediately! Thank you, Woolrich!

Best socks I ever had . . . and they were destroyed by my Maine Coon Cat in minutes! Seriously, these are my favorite socks. My cat, Woobie, thinks so, too. She retrieved my balled-up socks from the clean clothes basket and chewed them to pieces. Don't worry, no harm has come to the cat, and I received two pair of these socks for an early birthday present. They are my all-time favorites - soft, warm, comfortable, durable and stylish.
