I love this hat and took it along to the beach, where I had to share it with my daughter because she loved it, too. That was the black version. Now I'm ordering the natural color one. With two, next year at the beach we'll just have to coordinate our outfits so we can easily share them. Meanwhile, I love wearing it for walking my dog. Weather surprises won't affect me with this hat on. And I'll have two colors to choose from - Yay!

This is my summer Go-To hat and I just love it! The brim is wide so it keeps the sun off my neck. I love the way the brim is rolled up and STAYS up! The fabric is tightly woven, yet breathable and lightweight. I bought it in the Natural colour and it goes with everything. A great summer find! Thanks, Woolrich.

The drawstring inside the hat allows for a snug fit, without having a strap under my chin. Most wide brim hats get blown off in a breeze, but not this one. I use this hat to do water aerobics and paddling in my kayak.

If the hat had an adjustable chin strap, you could temporarily escape the wide brim to look up and see the sky letting the hat hang on your back. You just can't cinch it tight enough on your head, without hurting your ears, to be able to look upward. That is a definite drawback when hiking and wanting to see the scenary.

Am professional dog walker and this hat is wonderful. Live in the desert and this protects my face very well!! Only things I would change is that it could be more air flowing through. Feels a little HOT sometimes!!

A good hat for everyday use to avoid sun damage to face. Feels comfortable, but it is a little oversized. The adjustable string is helpful. I like the neutral color and fabric and it is a nice change from straw hats, which are not always very comfortable. I read from other reviewers that the hat was washable but no washing instructions were included. These would have been helpful.

It is too rough a fabric - definitely not softened.
Flimsy shape not like as pictured.
It would shade ones eyes,face and neck from the sun.
Was too early to use it when received and I will not take it on the trip I had planned to in May.
I will return it in all probability - unless shipping is too much.

I ordered this hat as soon as I saw it. Love the upturned brim, the drawstring that lets you customize the fit, the light color, everything about it! I haven't used it yet, but am looking forward to using it a lot this summer.

Love being able to protect face and hair from the sun without suffering "hat hair due to the great fit and the cotton fabric. I lost my previous heavy cotton black hat which I purchased as a sun hat. I found it was heavy enough that it also was terrific as a rain hat, foregoing need for an umbrella and I see that the Woolrich hat will work that way also and for that I am ecstatic!

I was surprised I would spend [$] for a hat but I did and it is worth every cent. I wore it boating on Lake Ontario and it stayed put the whole time. If the natural color were available I'd buy one in that color too. I hope next year it is because I would buy another one, not because I don't think this one will hold up but just for the variety.

There are so many reasons to love this hat: it's 100% cotton, the brim is wide and sturdy so it stays rolled up, the fit is adjustable, and the natural colour goes great with everything. Too bad this hat is not available in Navy instead of Black.

Very wind resistant because of the string adjustment and snug fit. Can't feel the hot sun beating down on crown of hat. Interestingly cool.

I have worn this on the golf course and also gardening. In higher winds, need a strap or hat pin to hold it on. Not a negative...to b expected. Very happy w this hat. Glad I bought it.
