My husband is bald and always wears a hat outside for warmth or to keep the sun off his head. He loves this hat. He likes the feel of the fabric and leather. He likes the flannel lining and ear flaps for cold weather. This hat fits better than the last ivy cap he bought and it was half the cost. He would highly recommend it to anyone looking for this style of hat.

I loved the picture of this cap and really wanted it to work for my husband. He has a very hard time finding hats that are large enough for him, and the XL here was, sadly, no exception. It would be great for such a stylish cap to have his size. He liked it, also, but we'll be returning it.

Bought this hat for at a Flyfishing shop for my 10 year old. He still wears it 3 years later for fishing, golfing, or whenever he needs warmth or water proofing. He calls it his lucky hat. I removed the ear flaps when it started getting tight, but will need to buy another this year, for both of us this time. He has at least 20-something golf hats, this one is his absolute favorite!!!

The headband portion of the inner lining is fraying or rubbing away leaving the white under material exposed.

Very stylish in an understated way. Just what I was looking for...except the built in ear muffs. The picture showed waxed cotton exterior with flannel lining. In fact, the entire flap was Woolrich Plaid. I don't think they'll block much wind. Medium size is good for the upper end of a small hat size, due to the flaps. It will certainly serve its intended purpose.

I have several waxed caps I acquired in Ireland. The added microfleece liner is an excellent addition to this version. But what really makes it sharp is the addition of the waxed leather visor and band visible around the back of the cap. A super comfy fitting hat that repels the rain. Multi-use cap I'll wear for hiking, camping, and just heading down the street to pick up a loaf of bread on a wet day.

Excellent, classic styling and great for cold, misty mornings. Ear flaps are an added bonus...but also affect the sizing. I have a small head and the small was too tight. If you're at the upper limit of a size range, go up one.

This is a very nice looking cap that fits my 7 3/4 inch head just perfectly. However, I wish it was just a bit deeper (top to bottom) and had a wider profile. It just needs to be a bit roomier for the same head circumference. Not sure if this makes sense. For folks with a less massive cranium it will be great. And I plan to keep it and will wear it a lot. My quibble is minor. All in all I am already quite fond of it.

My son wears this hat daily. He loves this cap for the heavier fabric and feel. Heading into cold weather the ear flaps will be very useful.

My husband loves this hat! Unfortunately I had purchased it for my son, whose head I had carefully measured and checked against the catalog sizing guidelines. The large-sized hat is too small for son but fits husband perfectly. He gets to keep this one, and I am ordering a second one for son in size XL.

Comfortable but the medium was too tight and I had to exchange it for a large. Earflaps are a good idea.
