sweatshirt vest

I got the vest for cool days to warm the body. It was snug in my usual medium, so I returned it for a large. I am going to tack the facings down around the collar as they do not stay in place- otherwise I like the vest. It is ideal for banging around as I love sweatshirt materials.

Like it, But...

I ordered this vest because I needed a warm layer in a coral color for our upcoming trip to Alaska. It looked more coral to me in the catalog & online, but it is actually more a rust. My fault I guess - it was aptly named "Russet." Luckily it will blend in OK. I like the style & it fits OK, though I probably should have ordered medium. The large is very roomy, and the 3-button styling makes it very comfortable.My chief complaint concerns the quirky button & tab on the collar. It has me baffled - there's no way to fasten it unless I put in a buttonhole on the other side of the neckline, which I don't have the expertise to do. So you can't wear it up, the way it's shown in the pictures - what's up with that? Purely decorative, and I was disappointed in that.I also agree with previous reviewers that it is annoying to have the facing so floppy - it doesn't stay down & I ended up slip stitching it to keep it in place. That's something I shouldn't have to do at this price. All in all, I'll keep it, but I don't think it's up to Woolrich's usual standards.

Looks good so far

I wear vests all year round and am always looking for different styles and colors. This one looked good on paper, and I wasn't disappointed, although the placket around the collar doesn't quite lay flat, as another reviewer had mentioned. I think I can make it work, and I was happy to get this one on sale.

I will probably wear this vest almost everyday, it goes with everything I own!! It is very comfortable and stylish, it has a flattering fit. The length is great, it hits at the low hip but is not too long. The material is like a really nice sweatshirt and thicker then most.

Not as pictured

This vest is not as pictured. It is longer and without any buttons on the bottom it looks more like an open vest when you put it on. I liked the collar but the facing is hard to keep tucked in. I returned this item.

There are so many vests out there that are similar but this one is different. I love the collar, the buttons, and the flare which goes perfectly with both slacks and a skirt. The fabric has a quality feel and is soft and comfortable.

I really liked the styling of this vest, but the size was very inaccurate. I wear a 2X, and a shirt I purchased in the same order fit perfectly. The vest didn't come close!

Close, but no cigar

The vest doesn't match the tee shirt in color.The neck/collar buttons don't seem to work, althoughneeded to keep the neck closed for warmth.Perfect weight & warm for fall outdoors activitieslike when I'm gardening

I wish you carried this in petite...

I will wear this vest at home and it will keep me warm. But I had wanted to wear it out. In the photo, the product appeared to be a more relaxed fit than it actually is. Since you don't carry petite sizes, I took a chance and the "slenderizing" darts are all in the wrong places, which makes it stick out over my rear, making that unattractive part of my body look even more unattractive. I will enjoy it at home.
