THis is the kind of shirt I wear all day at home or going out about town or to informal gatherings. It is good looking and has natural and bright colors and at the same time is soft, warm and loose enought to move in. The flannel is soft and a washes well. I bought the extra large thinking I needed that for extra movement but large would have been fine. Point is, get the size you normally wear and you will still be in the comfort zone.

I bought my shirt large enough to wear a light weight turtleneck under. Great to wear as a light jacket - great to wear when it is really cold instead of a sweater. Casual with jeans - dressy with cords. I now own two and will probably buy more.

Bought it for the plaid coloring and didn't realize it wasn't cotton flannel which I was seeking. But, to my delight, it has a handsome hefty weight and I have worn it almost every day since it arrived. The very best of all my flannel shirts.

I love this shirt! The material is heavy and soft. The colors are beautiful. However, the first day I was wearing it, a snap on the sleeve fell out. I have noticed many other comments on the same thing. Isn't it time to fix this problem, Woolrich? I will be putting my own snap in. I wouldn't pay full price for this because of that, but I got it on sale. I would have given 5 stars if this had not happened.

I already have two of these shirts. They wash well, fit well and are easy to take car of. I love the snaps. I work in a metal building and it can go from waaaay too cold to waaaay too hot in about 30 seconds flat. As a result I ALWAYS layer what I wear. These shirts are perfect. They can fend of cold quite well, but when it finally warms up - a pull on the snaps and the shirt is off! The temperature change always happens when I'm with a customer and need to focus on my business with them instead of my personal comfort . . . but sometimes you just HAVE to. This makes it easy - same thing in reverse. When the sun finally goes behind a cloud and the building temperature drops suddenly, the shirt goes back on quickly and I can snap it closed with one hand.

I find this shirt jac a great layering piece for New England winters or great over a tee. Washes and dries well. It does pill a little bit at pressure points when used for layering, but love it anyway!

There is beautiful color in these shirt jackets. Only thing wrong was I thought I was ordering flannel and these are wool. These will be great for outdoor activities such as hiking or chopping wood. I bought one for myself and my daughter. One jacket had longer sleeves than the other one, lucky thing because she has shorter arms. I love the snaps in place of buttons. This shirt jacket washes and dries beautifully with very little wrinkling. My daughter loves the color. The service was great.

I have bought a few shirt jacs for my boyfriend from other companys. They all seem to be so comfy and warm. I wanted one for myself. I couldn't find any for women so I came to the woolrich site. I seen these and ordered two. I didn't know my size, but I knew I was going to like them. I am 5'3, not curvey but fit. I ordered a Large and can wear a long sleeve & sweatshirt underneath. Very comfy! I am a hunter and I use it for baiting my blind, and doing stuff around the yard, perfect & will hold up for years. The shipping time on these were excellent. When I opened them the snap came right out of the red one, I sent it back and received another one within a week at no cost to me. They are both fine and haven't had any problems. I don't dry mine in the dryer I just hang it up and its dry within an hour. I will order more for sure. Customer Service was excellent.

I originally bought this product at a local outdoor goods store. They didn't have the size up that I needed so I went online to order. After reading the reviews, I found most had to order a size up. Other than the realization of a larger size, I love this shirt to wear around the house for warmth!

I am 5' 5", busty and shapley...although I am 55 years old, I still want to look sleek, not frumpy. Thus, it is hard to find a plaid shirt/jacket that doesn't make me look frumpy!
But this one does make me look finished and sleek...the cut is ideal, and the length is perfect for covering my rump!

First of all, let me say that I love this shirt and am about to order another one in a different color. That's because I wear a size 14 for Woolrich clothes and it fits me pretty well -- looks great when closed all the way down over a turtleneck and my Bryton jeans. I love the design, the color (Blackberry), the soft, non-scratchy fabric, and the snaps. Especially the snaps! One nice design feature is that there are two snap closures on each cuff, which makes it easy to adjust the cuff fit and arm length. This shirt also looks good when worn open over a shirt. I haven't washed it yet, so can't comment on that.

I rated it 4 stars rather than 5 because size Large is supposed to fit 14-16, and this shirt definitely wouldn't fit someone who is size 16. Also, the same cut that gives it a nice slim fit when I'm standing up means there are gaps between the snaps when I am sitting down. Perhaps a split seam on the sides at the bottom would fix this.

Yes, I would recommend it to a friend -- but I would tell her everything that is in this review and let her decide if it's right for her.

This is a beautifully made shirt. I love the rivet accents, which elevate the style quotient of this flannel shirt jac. I also own two of the buffalo plaid shirt jacs. The styling on this shirt jac kicks it up a notch as does the slimming styling. The blackberry color combo is stunning! Sleeve length and torso length are both generous. I'm 5'5" and often find sleeve lengths too short. This was perfect in the size L. I sometimes wear a M in Woolrich items, but if you are between sizes, order up due to the slim cut. If you like an oversize fit, order one size up. I am ordering a second shirt because this is a great item.

This is like wrapping myself in the warmth of a fireplace. I am a new Woolrich shopper, so I wasn't sure what to expect, especially at this price. This shirt is amazing. Right from taking it out of the box, I knew it was high-quality. The wool keeps me so warm, and the acrylic will be great for keeping me warm snowboarding - cotton cannot do with the moisture. I can't wait til it snows and I can curl up in this. That being said, I am a small person (5'3", 120 lb) and the S was a little big. It's nice because it's cozy but I think in the future an XS would be better.

I usually don't buy synthetic material, but this is nice and soft. The tails are quite long, and so it is not suitable for wearing "out" - out to town, or untucked! Love the snaps instead of buttons.

I really like this shirt. It goes with all the other pieces that I have bought. If I want more pieces I can go to the shirts, t-shirts, or jackets and find something that will march. I love all of the colors. I will be using this and all of the other pieces with my jeans. This shirt will be used as a cover for my t-shirts and blouses.

The second day I wore this shirt, the snap tore right through the fabric when I unsnapped it. There isn't enough interfacing/backing sewn into the snap placket for this shirt to hold up long-term. I was disappointed with the shirt's fabric, too - it contains far more acrylic than wool, and I wasn't expecting that, considering the price. It is a pretty shirt with darting that gives it a flattering shape, but I ended up returning it because I wanted something that would hold up as well (and be as woolen) as the men's shirt-jacs. Hopefully Woolrich will make the better-quality men's shirt-jacs in women's sizes in the future.

I love the colors in this shirt because they go with so many things. That's why I wish there were more available in other colors in my size! Also, the size was good--it fit over my hips and I'm pear-shaped--but didn't droop on the top.

I loved this shirt so much that after getting it, I ordered one in each color to wear over solid shirts with my jeans. The plaid is well matched except for the collar. I would have given the shirt 5 stars, but the pattern on the collar (and this is true for all that I bought) doesn't match up as it should. I'm sure no one will notice it when you wear it, but this is not a cheap shirt and that little thing does bother me.

Bought this shirt in red and blue. I get more complements on both then any other casual flannel-type shirt I own. Went straight to the 'most frequently worn' section of my closet! I expect come spring, I will be able to wear it over a T shirt as a jacket, but for now, I am layering it over a sweater, for a nicely styled extra layer of warmth. Very happy with this purchase!
