High quality, but sized too large

This is a great example of Woolrich quality and styling, but something happened with the sizing. I can normally wear a 6, but have gained a little weight and needed to size up. I am almost 5'6" and the size 8 was way too wide in the waist and too long. The legs are quite wide also. I might try a 6 petite and see if that works better. Otherwise I love the stye and stitching detail. Front pockets are hardly useful since they go straight off the waistband and it's hard to get your hands in them. Overall they look nice and feel great. I'm hoping a smaller size will suite better.

these jeans have a strong odor of motor oil or petrol, which faded but not until after 10 washings, at which time the fabric lost its softness and its loft and also faded. Also the product description states straight leg, but these jeans have a definite flare leg.

The description states "straight leg" but this pant definitely has a flare leg. The strong odor (motor oil/gasoline/petroleum) faded finally after ten repeat washings, but the 10 washings caused the fabric to change; the fabric lost its softness and loft and the dark denim color faded. The articulated knee was comfortable, but if I had known the pant had a flare leg, I wouldn't have bought it, so the product description needs to be corrected. Can't return it now that I washed it so many times to get rid of the strong odor...

Strong odor fades with each washing

I noticed a strong odor in one pair, but I likedthe fit so much I ignored it, and voila! After several washings, it has faded. The other was fine. I would like to have another pair in another color, if it were available.

Finally, comfortable jeans that fit!

I was about to give up hope of ever finding comfortable jeans, but these jeans are as comfortable as pants can be. If you don't want that painted on look, but want normal jeans with a little room to move, these are perfect. I'm 5'8" and they were a tiny bit too long, and there's a little gap in the waist in the back, but other than that they are perfect. I am quitting my search now that I have these jeans.
