My husband waited for this shirt jac for a long time because he couldn't bring himself to spend so much money. Finally, along came a great sale price and they had his size. However, huge disappointment upon pulling it out of the box. The material appeared discount store quality, and colors were quite dull. Plus, the jacket was quite wrinkled. He usually can wear the same size with no problems, and the overrall length and sleeve length were just right. But the upper arms were snug and it would barely fit around him. Very over-priced even on sale. This jacket was definitely not the quality we have come to love and expect from Woolrich. It went right back the same day.

This garmet fits too tight in the chest and waist to layer much underneath it. I would order another one in a different color, however, the fit has stopped me. I would exchange this one but it cost too much to do so. I asked when I ordered this garment if they ran large or small and was told that they ran large...not so!! The garmet simply runs too small to layer under it. Too bad because it is otherwise excellent.

I love everything about this jacket except the buttons could be sewn on better. I've worn it a few times and a couple of buttons have started to come loose and it doesn't have any extra buttons.

This shirt/jacket is a replacement. It is what I was looking for to use as a cold weather outdoor do everything shirt. It is warm,true to size and very comfortable.

I got this shirt-jac for around the house, working in the yard, etc. The 'Charley' fits okay, but the wool seems of poor quality and the buttons aren't all that secure (just like other reviewers have stated). The on-seem hand warmer pockets are awkward as well. Bought on sale, although I think that's still just a bit high.

Fits me perfectly, as a typical 'large' guy. With a couple layers underneath, is good for temps into upper teens, at least in relatively low humidity of Jackson Hole. Looks great, love the loden color. Ample sized pockets easily take gloves and hat or scarf. Smartphone pocket w/ outlet for line to earphones is nice touch. Lined sleeves allow it to slip on easily over textured layers.

The only reason I didn't rate this 5 stars was because of shipping. You don't find out that it is shipping UPS "Smart Post" until completeing the order process. If I had wanted it shipped to my post office box 10 miles away, I would have asked for postal service delivery. I wanted it dropped at my door. This will affect my decision to patronize Woolrich in the future. Woolrich should make it known up front what the shipping will be, and not hide it till the order is already placed. I very nearly called to cancel the order because of this.

Great wool shirt jac, primary use will be fall clean up and attending football games. Interior pockets with hole for headsets perfect for IPhone and MP3 player. Very comfortable

I am 6'2" inches tall, 210 lb, bought an XL that normally looks & fits just right. This Shirt Jac was expensive & I chose disregard other reviews I had read on this item... Mistake! It fit poorly (tight) & short length. Poor build aspects as buttons were loose causing me to wonder about life of Jac. In the end, I felt the price point should of been no more than $100.00..... Item in the mail for return Woolrich. The conceal carry coat, the vest & my wool cap were all wonderful. This Jac did not meat my Woolrich expectations at all.

I love my shirt-jac. It's comfortable and warm, about all I need for cold weather down South. I wear it as a coat.
My only real complaint is the button front. I don't mind the buttons. They look nice. But they needed to be sewn on more securely. After one season of wear, my shirt-jac already has a couple of buttons that are coming loose. I will have to have them reinforced when I take it the dry cleaner to get it ready for fall.
But the shirt-jac has so many other appealing features that I can overlook the buttons.

After purchasing the heavy duty field coat and a stag shirt, I am again pleased with the charley shirt. I bought the stag shirt to wear over layers in an XXL. (I'm 6'2"-225)
The charley I ordered in an XL. It is lightweight and durable. the wool is much softer than that found on the stag shirt. Perfect coat for spring nights.

great to wear working outside. The sleeves are easy to slide your arms through even wearing a heavy sweater. Wish it came in solid colors I would buy more.
