90% wool with button collars. A very slight itch if worn with out a t-shirt (can't tell on arms). Very warm. From hunting to hiking, almost everyday but humid and hot summer days. I own three in various patterns and colors. Best shirt I've ever ownwed.

The perfect weekend winter shirt
By Michijoe
About Me Classic
PERFECT WINTER / FALL SHIRT. Hope Woolrich makes available again. Winter hikes, layering, everyday (even summer sometimes), and hunting. Button collar & 90% wool (not 80 like others) is perfect for this type of shirt. A very slight itch that is oddly comforting in the cold. Most of the time I can't take an itch, but for some reason it is just right. Unmatched wick & warmth compared to my other shirts. To casual for work. Washes easy, but does not build up oders if unwashed for a week or so of casual wear. Used one for hunting as a mid layer, and lasted a week without oder. A great employee from Birch Run store (love that location) helped me find the 1st (was in blackwatch). Since then purchased two more in other colors / patters. Would buy more. Type of shirt that the Woolrich brand should be known for. The farther they stray from this type of quality the more the brand should no longer be called Woolrich.

Nice looking shirt

Bought it on sale recently and probably will not get a chance to wear it until the next cold season. Tried it on and my first impression was it looks and fits good. Felt a little scratchy around the neck area.

A fine shirt
By Oliver

About Me Casual, Outdoor sports
The shirt is a well made and well-sized wool shirt. I like the fact that it is "washable", although I wash all my wool shirts in cold water regardless of what they say, and it works out. However, one must never use heat for washing or drying. The Woolrich wool is not as "tightly woven" as some brands, so the fabric is a little "fatter" and "softer" than that some. The shirt is a great value, warm, comfortable, and the coloring is well done. It is fine for outdoor use, or for casual wear in any setting.

THE ALWAYS RELIABLE WOOLRICH QUALITY
By Stuff4Me

I am a woman and bought this shirt to wear around the house when I feela chill. So easy to just slip on over anything. Very rich subtle plaid incolors I really like. Would make a very handsome shirt on any guy too!

I expected more from the shirt. Fabric wasn't soft, appearance not rich.

Best Yet!

I have several Griffin washable wools that I wear all the time. Thought I'd try this halfhitch even though the price is a bit more than I usually pay. Worth it!

Nice

a nice shirt although the color did not exactly match the image on line. I also wish the front had two pockets rather than one. The shirt is not cut quite as large as some of the others I have ordered.
Wash at your own risk!
By Outdoor Dad
from Charlotte, NC
Love the shirt but care instructions are inaccurate. Followed the directive to "machine wash cold/tumble dry low" only to have it shrink SUBSTANTIALLY. Sleeves are now too short, shoulders snug, body length less than ideal. Why give care instructions that will clearly impact the fit of the garment? Would not be that big of a deal to either hand wash/line dry or even dry clean. Disappointed that I now either have to replace or live with poor fit.

The perfect blend of wool and nylon
By Zak
from Louisville, Ohio
The blend of wool and nylon seems to be a perfect percentage because the shirt is soft to the touch. I have one concern for the sleeve length of the XL I bought. It seems a pinch to short at 35" to 36". I would recommend 36" to 37" or offer XLT. It would benefit stylistically and functionally to add a button to the center back collar of these button down wool blends or any other button down collar. The lack of the appropriate fusing or simply a fabric that will not retain starch through the dry cleaning or ironing process will struggle to allow the collar to stay aligned with the back yoke seem of the shirt.

Great Shirt
By Matt

Great shirt, warm but, light. Wash Cold and Drip Dry or it'll shrink on you. But, after it's dry you can toss it in a fluff cycle to soften it back up.
