Fabric extremely thin and light (more so than most other synthetic convertible pants I own), which is fine when hot, but won't hold up well if walking through any kind of vegetation.

They are stylish and casual, too, so I can wear them hiking or to a friend's for dinner. They dry very quickly if they get wet in the lake! I wish they made these in kids sizes; I'd buy each of my sons a pair!!!
