I had to send this back because it was too itchy to even consider. I thought about the type of sweater I could get to layer under it to stop the scratchiness, but I felt the sensation even after I took it off. I hate to pay return shipping! The wool was a coarse army blanket quality. Everything else was great. Nice fit, great pockets, sturdy zipper, cute back belt. And well-made Woolrich quality. The fleece lining didn't stop the itchy feeling.

Very pleased that this is a heavy feeling vest. I love it. Great quality not cheap feeling at all. I felt it was a little high priced for a vest but you get what you pay for. So I feel it is worth the price. It feels like an article of clothing that will last for years and not wear out. Definately recommend it. I always like to save money when I shop but I also like good quality clothing. Love this vest.

I love this vest. Much heavier (in a good way) than I expected, and was a bargain at the sale price. Would be worth the full price as well. My only problem with it is that it feels too long in the torso. My 5'2" body is shorter in the torso. I would offer it to my mom, who has a longer torso than I do at the same height, but she winters in Florida, where this item wouldn't be practical. I haven't decided 100% to send this back, because it might look great with a black skirt, but I'm likely to send it back, as I was hoping to wear it more frequently with jeans or black pants. I strongly recommend this item to anybody who fits the size guide better than I do. I bought it in the burgundy plaid, and it is beautiful.

Excellent quailty vest, price was reasonable, very comfortable and stylish. Wear over my shirt and under my coat for work everyday that it is cold enough to need it.

This vest is wonderfully warm and cozy. The faux fur is very soft and comes up around your chin when the vest is fully zipped; it's a warm fit around the neck but not too tight. The pockets are warm and in just the right spot. It works great as an additional layer in a drafty house or under a (big) coat.

The only drawback is that it's rather boxy and unflattering. This vest as warm as a heavy wool blanket, but it drapes like one too. There's an adjustable buttoned belt on the back that helps a little bit.

Since it's more suited to a loose fit, I'd say the sizes run small and would recommend ordering on the large side.

I wear this to the gym; I wear it to church; I wear it to dinner. It goes anywhere. It's warm but also soft and pretty lightweight. Less bulky and more "cuddly" than a down vest. Also good to wear in the wind - the wool is incredible. Just a great product. I'm a total fan of these vests now.

Nicely made vest with a nice choice of colors. I got ruby and I think it looks so nice on. I wore mine under an lighter weight coat and was really warm (it was about 20 degrees outside.) I purchased a plaid design as well just to have a little choice in my life. Really, I could not have made a better winter purchase. The interior is soft, the vest is comfy, it looks good. I think that this was definitely an excellent choice. Thank you, Woolrich, for such a beautiful quality item!

This vest surpassed my expectations with it's looks. It's soft, rich black lining looks luxurious as it edges the red & black wool layer. The left inside zippered pocket is an extra bonus. It's a great value for the price and will be perfect for Arkansas cool weather.

This is my favorite vest. That's why I have three of them. After seeing mine, several of my friends also purchased a vest. We should start a Somerton Vest club. The black vest is dressy, the red vest is casual and the plaid vest is sporty. All three are warm and cozy. Love them.

The vest is flattering and functional. My friends beeline for the soft faux fur lining that is also an accent trim. The wool plaid is subtle and doesn't override what I'm wearing. This will look great for years to come.

Unfortunately, the vest was WAY too big. I always wear a large, and I wouldn't even know whether to try a med. or small. I didn't want to keep exchanging the item, so just returned it.

Love this vest! The length is perfect because it's a little bit longer so my shirt won't hang out and covers the hips a little. It also has a couple of inside pockets which is a nice feature and would be great for a phone. The outer pockets are extra deep and cozy. I will be able to wear this with a thin or a little heavier sweater. First time I wore it today and I hope people don't get tired of seeing me wear it too much!
