One of my favorite shirts

This shirt was actually a higher quality than I expected since it was on sale for a great price. I was afraid it was a poor seller but I was pleasantly surprised by the great fit, color, and high quality of workmanship. It washes well and has become one of my go to shirts. I would highly recommend it.

Color great, fabric disappointing
By djrut

About Me Casual
This flannel fabric feels more like light-weight, brushed cotton! Not what I wanted or expected. Flannel should be quite heavy and warm. It fits well, color is great and I will keep the shirt.
Light weight flannel

This shirt is very comfortable, lightweight for the warmer winter days. One downside is that it washes and dries poorly. It needs to be ironed to wear.

Loved the look in the catalog....

About Me Bargain Shopper, Casual, Eclectic
I ordered the XL and it was too large - sleeves were ridiculously long. Returned it for a L and sleeves were still too long. The body was small for the style. I wanted to wear it over a t-shirt and it was a little too tight at the hips so that the pleat in the back pulled open. Too bad, I really liked the look of the back in the catalog. The shirt is light weight - it isn't a flannel. Pretty plaid, but the fit didn't work for me and I returned it.
Comfortable shirt, but flannel?

About Me Bargain Shopper, Casual, Classic
Okay it's not "flannel" as I remember flannel in the 70's when you had to buy men's shirts to get that option. It's much lighter fabric and not especially warm which heavy flannel shirts are. On the plus side it's not too hot which I often am and it is large enough to layer a 2nd shirt easily under. It does run a little large, I could wear a tight medium but being active I prefer my shirts too loose than tight. The sleeves are a little long but I expected that choosing to order the larger size. The gathering and buttons down the back were a surprise but it puts a little "feminine" in the shirt and that's nice. I did buy this after it was marked down from it's original price. I would not have been pleased with the shirt at all had I paid full price.

Deep disappointment

About Me Casual, Eclectic
I liked it in the catalog for the little bit of update, such as the buttons in the back, but when it arrived, there were so many things wrong, as I've implied in the boxes I checked. To expand: the cloth was so flimsy it could hardly be described as flannel by anyone who knows what flannel is like. The color was a strangely garish green which went with none of my various green garments. The final blow was the fit. I had ordered the size I usually wear, but to my dismay it wouldn't even come together in front. I've never had anything from Woolrich be such a total disappointment.

About Me Bargain Shopper, Casual
This fabric is lightweight but nice. Time will tell if this lightweight fabric with handle continued washings. I love the button detail on the back. I usually wear a Large, but ordered this product in X-Large, since it's mostly cotton fabric and I expected it to shrink, which it did and it now fits perfectly.

Great Shirt
By Tomboy in high heels
from San Diego, Ca
Overall this is a great shirt and I'm glad I purchased it. My only two "gripes"would be that it's not flannel, it's just thicker softer cotton, and that the berry color could be a darker shade. The upside to the lighter fabric is that I can wear it almost year round, just add a t-shirt or thermal underneath in fall and winter. So can you really gripe about a shirt that you can wear 3/4 of the year? The shirt looks great on and the button detail helps give it a more feminine shape. I also like that the pockets are sown on the inside of the shirt, which gives the shirt a cleaner more tailored look.
NICE SHIRT; AWFULLY SMALL

WISH IT HAD BEEN TRUE TO SIZE.
Not what I would call a flannel shirt.
By Flo in MO

I ordered this shirt because I wanted a warm beautiful flannel to wear on cool days. The color and pattern were beautiful. I was very disappointed to find that the material was very thin and nothing like what I would describe as a flannel fabric.

The red and black color are great. It is very soft. I wanted another flannel shirt...it is a little on the thin side but I wear a thermal under it. Love it.

Excellent quality and style

I love this shirt. I have 3 of them and the style is unique and feminine and flattering. The flannel is very soft and very light weight. The colors are all good colors and very flattering.
Great Flannel Shirt
By Skagit Valley girl
from Sedro-Woolley, WA
I bought this shirt because I already had another one in this style and loved it. The reason I bougth this color, Oak Leaf, was because I thought it would match the short-sleeved, First Fork Embroidered Top I got last summer and you know it matches it perfectly. I know matching is not in but I like things to and this one does. Woolrich is like that! I like this shirt because of its fit; it has buttons in the back that make the shirt more fitted, but when I wear it layered, I can unbutton those buttons if I don't want it so fitted. Great Idea guys!!! But then you think through your designs, which I really like about your products!

Hoping for better results next time!
By Jeanne

I'm disappointed with the shirt. I thought it was the same shirt I had seen at a shop in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, but upon receipt though the original price was the same it is not the color or quality I remembered. The color is just not vibrant. The one I saw was and it was also a bit more soft and of heavier weave. I will return this one. I would return it for another color, but everything appears to be sold out in my size. I also ordered a shirt for my husband and he is pleased as am I. I am not able to return mine for 2 weeks as I am not home. Hopefully, I can still return it and you will have more available to select at that time. Jeanne
not the quality fabric I expected

I have many flannel shirts and this product did not feel like any flannel shirt I own. It is of a flimsy material. I am sorry I bought it.
Love This Shirt
By All About Comfort
I wasn't sure how I would like it after reading reviews that the fabric was too thin. I always loved flannel shirts but they can be too warm sometimes and restrictive in the shoulders. They made some kind of dart of fold in the back with buttons so if your lower half is larger, or your bust is bigger you can unbutton a top or bottom button, or I guess all if you need that roomy feeling. I think it's femine looking and bought several colors.

My only complaint was that the material was so thin. Feels like it will be a rag after five washings.

By JF

Fit is perfect. Even the sleeves, which are sometimes too tight in other shirts. Has a nice shape to it. (Flannel shirts are often just big boxy things, but this one isn't.) Will be ordering earlier next year so I can get all the colors I like. Particularly like the buttons in the back--nice feature. Flannel is a bit thin, but not bad. Wouldn't want it too much thicker, just a tad.

Although the measurements were actually a bit smaller than listed on the size chart, the fit worked out for me, but might be a disappointment to others. The style is great and the shirt is THE softest thing I've ever owned. Really lovely.
