I love this sweater! It is my second one, one for every day wear and the new one for nicer evening wear. The price is right, it wears great. I have never washed it in a machine only dry cleaned, so I don't know how it does washing. I would buy it again!

Wonderful fit, nice appearance and color, however the wool has a distinct odor of machine oil. I am keeping it in the hopes the smell will disappear.

Use this as a cover layer over polo and dress shirts for on the road sales calls instead of a jacket. Works well if the wind isn't blowing as the wind blows right through it. Also wish it was a little heavier or had a more dense weave to be better in the wind and thus also warmer.

I bought this for my husband as a 7 year anniversary gift. [...] I was concerned of the sizing, but their sizing chart is correct if a thin tshirt is to be worn underneath. My husband wears a L on all shirts and jackets. Based on the chest size of the chart, I chose to buy the XL which fits my husband perfectly over the pullover shirts he wears. Would definitely purchase from this company again.

I like the sweater. Can't think of any modifications except the sleeves are a little long. But I've been told that my arms are a little short so "go figure?"

I wear this sweater when I go into diners that are chilly or ones that haven't gotten the heat up in the early morning and under a lighter winter jacket for outside wear. It is warm,and comfortable. I purchased a washable wool sweater costing twice as much a couple of years ago from a well known mail order company and it was not as warm and did not hold up to washing (stretched and got holes in it). I feel that this sweater is going to out perform the old sweater because it appears to be better made to begin with.

While an XL size, I ordered an XX size in order to be able to layer my clothes. Although labeled an XX, this sweater is no more than an L size.

This sweater is a good travel companion. Gives a warm layer under a rain jacket or or shell. Also is a classic sweater when worn with a dress shirt.

I haven't washed it yet, so I cannot comment on that feature. It is hard to find a caridgan that does not scream "old man" or "golf." This one is comfortable and suitable for a non-golfing young man.

If your wife and/or co-workers need to see you in something other than the beat-up fleece you have been wearing since college, buy this. It's better-looking, warm but not bulky, and a good value even at retail (though I picked mine up on sale after Xmas). The zipper sticks a bit, but so do the zippers on all my fleeces and parkas - not a big deal.

Layered on top of a flannel shirt this helps warm me up and stay that way. The lined collar is a nice feature, no scratchy neck. Good weight to the sweater and the color is an instant favorite. Overall I would definitly buy this one again and since I got it on sale it was a better deal!

This is a very nice sweater... they look great, seem to be of good quality and come in some nice colors. The fit, for my build, is near perfect.

However, I would like to see another series of these sweaters, with the same styling and colors, made with a material that is about twice the weight of this one. This sweater is on the light side, so don't expect to be going out in really cold weather, say anything under 30 degrees, without other layers. This sweater is meant for cool weather, not freezing weather.

Another version with heavier material would be a welcome addition to the Woolrich line.

The sweater and shirt were late gifts, but my husband didn't care. He likes them. I may never get a chance to wash the sweater. He won't give it up.

I gave this to my dad in Massachusetts for Xmas, and he just raves about it. He loves that he doesn't need to wear a turtleneck or scarf because of the high neck on the sweater.
