I bought this to go with the overalls on a previous purchase. This looks great when put on. The only thing I don't like about this jacket is that the arms are a bit small. This is frustrating as you would like to wear layers underneath the coat, especially since it is wool and can be somewhat itchy. My particular coat's zipper was defective, so I had to send back. I doubt I'll be ordering another.

Not an outdoorsman (hunting/fishing type) just a dude that enjoys being outside with Nature. Still demand quality gear for being outside in ALL seasons. The unlined CamWoolflage jacket is an excellent addition to anyone's field gear closet. This weekend went out hiking with just a heavy polypropolene top underneath and was warm and dry through the snow squalls. When heated from hiking, just loosened the bottom draw cord to let the heat out - when resting, tightened the draw cord to keep the heat in. While hiking a nasty squall blew over and the concealed hood came in REAL handy - continued to be warm and dry through the white-out. Only suggestion for improvement would be reinforced elbows - other than that... Another excellent piece of field apparel offered by Woolrich and HIGHLY recommended.

I need a new hunt6ing jacket. I want wool. This has good features, but the canvas duck hood and storm flap need to be less stiff, thinner, more flexible fabric. Hood is a good idea, but the hood in the collar makes the collar very thick and stiff - no good for looking around or carrying a pack. Don't like the over-large buttons on pockets and cuffs. Very noisy - velcro would be better, Like the quiet zipper pulls and 2-way zipper.

I bought the product for mountain hunting and believe that it will work well in heavy climbing exercise; however, the weave and thickness are less than I expected. I will have to wear more layers to maintain heat retention in cold conditions.
