"Don't judge a book by its cover"

I bought this coat and the bibs after Christmas of this year and well after our deer season. It is replacing a 16 year old cabela's mossy oak coverall, which I would say is going to start falling apart after another season. I am picky in camo design and effectiveness. This coat and bib were tested recently by 3 different people on different ocassions. I was concealed very well in these tests here in PA. Like my title says, don't judge until you try it. It's perfect for me in the camo/color dept. The overall coat is high quality to me in how it looks and how it is made. It is discintive in that quality over the big box stores stock. You can see the quality in material and construction. The fit is very good. I can wear layers underneath to bulk up and not have an under arm sleeve bind or restriction. It is wool, which I like. My previous coveralls were poly filled and in time the bulk has flattened. I won't have that problem with this coat. I can layer for more bulk. The pockets are great as well as the cord adjustment on the bottom. I love the buttons, nostaglia! No zipper to break. I highly recommend this coat. I looked at others and I felt the color and design were to vivid or bold. Not got for concealment. Woolrich hit it right on with this one. The sale price was fanastic too!

Too much whiz and not enough bang
By Lady out hunting

I bought two coats one for my husband and one for myself. We both feel the coat is stiff and bulky for climbing into a stand. For a women the fit of a man's coat is always wrong, but this one is bulkier than others. I sat out in 25 degree weather all day and was warm enough, though I doubt it will pass the -25 degree weather test. I do not care for the camo pattern, it is not concealing in my area.

Men's CamWoolflage Hunting Coat
By Ted
from NW WA
I ordered this coat in a XXL, I'm 6'2" and weigh 235 lbs. The coat fits well with the exception of the cuffs as others have mentioned, they fit very tight to the point of being uncomfortable and they ride half way between my wrist and elbow. If my arms were 3" shorter I would love this coat, but undecided if I will keep it or send it back.

First impression

About Me Occasional Shooter
I've lived in Maine, Upstate New York, Wisconsin, and now Cleveland, OH. My job does not require extensive time outdoors and I don't have much time to hunt. But I know what I want in winter coat - even if its just to snow blow the drive or take the husky out for a 2 hour walk in January. I've admired this coat on line for over a year and took the plunge because it was on sale. Only had it a couple of days but thought I would pass along my first impressions. First the collar is no longer off-white but drab olive (maybe Woolrich listened to one of the other reviewers). I'm 6' and 180 pound - chest is 41 and waist is 34: I got a LARGE size and the coat feels just a bit loose in the body and a bit tight at the neck with the top button done. The cuffs are a bit tight too but well designed - high in the arm so they won't interfere with long gloves. Overall the fit is good. I really like the feel of the 70/30 material and no "shish" sound as you walk and move like with new age materials. In ~25 degree weather it is warm and comfortable. I think this is the start of a long relationship!

Perfect Cold Weather Coat
By Red Jack
from Dublin, CA
Used this coat on a December Elk hunt in New Mexico. The weather dipped into the low teens but the coat kept me warm and comfortable even during extended periods on the stand. Though the coat may be a bit heavier and bulkier than the synthentic ones, it was not overly heavy plus it's much quieter through the brush and also breathes better than any synthetic coats that I've worn in the past. This is a quality wool product that is softer and more comfortable than the ones I've tried from the "big box" outdoor retailers. I can definitely recommend this to anyone hunting in the colder reagions even though the elastic at the sleeve ends may be a bit tight.
Service and delivery comments:
Delivery was quicker than I had expected and the coat was in perfect "brand new" condition when it arrived.
Most disappointed

I have the old red checkered hunting coat for years. It is warm, roomy, quite and comfotable. I bought this coat to replace it and found it to be short, stiff, and the wool feels like the back of a piece of carpet.

Great coat
By Big Lou

Just recieved the Camowoolflage coat has a gift. The coat was very warm in 20 Degree Weather and the camo pattern blended perfect with the northern New York hardwoods. My only complaint is the off white collar. Where hunting, not making a fashion statement.
