This is the third of this style of sweater that I own. I've worn them out to dinner, skiing, and travelling. They have served me well in all cases. I've listed "itchy" as a conn, they work best with a turtleneck or mock turtleneck underneath. Very warm and not very bulky. I recommend to anyone who needs an excellent and versatile insulating layer/ warm outer layer.

Taking this sweater on an early spring trip to europe. It's light weight, stylish, warm, and the lining around the neck is very soft and comfortable.

The quality of the wool was only moderate. It was not hefty or thick enough to give me the feeling that it would keep me warm, most of the time. I felt it was thin and not well manufactured. I've had 1/4 zip jumpers that were much heavier and much more versatile and that is what I expected, and so I was disappointed. That is why I returned it. Sorry.

Can't say enough about this sweater! Very comfortable, looks great and goes with almost anything including jeans, khakis and twills. An excellent buy in my opinion. Hope this is available next season as I plan to buy several more in other colors.

This is a nice sweater for almost any occasion other than semi-formal. It's very comfortable and when worn over a long sleeve tee or mock turtle, it's warm enough to stave off anyplace chilly. Although I haven't yet had to wash this, I'm optimistic that it won't change anything about it. I enjoy wearing this with a pair of jeans and as such, it tends to make my jeans a little "dressier" looking.

Loose weave keeps it from being too warm. I can wear around office all day.

I had an older woolrich zip neck sweater that was amazing. Very warm, very soft. Unfortunately someone put it through the was and its 2 sizes too small now. I bought this expecting the same and boy was I disappointed. First off the wool is very coarse and very sratchy. Not soft at all. Secondly this thing is paper towel thin. This is nowhere near a value at full retail. $24.99 at best, even then I'd look elsewhere. What happened to woolrich?

I bought this sweater as a gift for my husband and was disappointed at the thinness of sweater (besides the fleece lined collar area). Also the material is very coarse, not soft at all. I wavered on sending it back, but checked with my husband and he thinks it will make a good overlayer for work in a state park regardless. My husband is on the small side of a size medium and the sweater's fit is loose. Ordered this from a catalog. I probably would not have chosen it if I had it in my hands first.

Great looking sweater, but too short in length and sleeves, a bit too large in the chest. I'm an atheletic fit and this seems to be made for a chunky, round and short person. I'm tall and normal sized, unfortunately.....

I love this sweater!! Unfortunately after washing it a couple of times, a couple of small holes appeared due to thin materials/threads on those spots. Had to buy wool materials/threads and darn the darn thing (pun intented!:-)).

Also, it started pilling and the wool is not as soft as before. It would be really really great if they use softer wool like extra fine merino wool to make this sweater. Oh well, one can only dream!!!

Anyway, I still like it and recently bought another one in a different color. It is still a great all around sweater!!
