The socks are light weight, but warm. The top is too tight for my leg, but folded down, works well. The green is a good, hard-to-find color for olive slacks.

I have only worn them once to work and later for a dog walk and I found them to be very comfortable..not the least bit itchy, which I was surprised about because I normally can't wear wool. I hope they wash well because I will buy more if they do. Delivery was very fast and the free S&H was great, too.

My old wool socks wore out (as in threadbare) after years of use and I've been on a quest to replace them for over a year. With winter coming and hating cold feet, I was just about desparate...and then I saw these in the Woolrich catalogue. I'm not sure why socks with wool in them are so hard to find, but they are. Not had these long enough to know if they'll last for years, but they're warm and look nice and I anticipate a long relationship with them.

I wanted a sock that was wool yet thin. These fit that area however they are too tight up my leg. Even tight on my Mom's and she has bird legs.
