I bought this same coat years ago in black and wore it out. This time I bought the navy one. Because I have gotten shorter it is longer on me and the sleeves are a little long, but I love it. I had hoped to find the same coat style again and was glad to see that Woolrich had the same coat and the sale price was the same price that I paid for it years ago.

There is nothing better for that cozy feel on a cold, windy day than wool and this coat is it. I also love that the zipper works easily and the raisin color is very nice, kind of a plummy brown. The subtle little Woolrich embroidered on the sleeve is a nice touch.

Excellent Woolrich quality. I noticed in the comments before purchasing about no two way zipper. This is in fact a drawback to this coat esp when driving. I hope Woolrich takes to heart the many comments about this coat not having a two way zipper. None the less it is an excellent coat!

I originally purchased this coat in a small, seeing that the sizing ran large. I am 5'8 and 135. It was HUGE. I returned it for an XS - and now it fits perfect. I wear it almost daily, and it does the trick for living in Michigan. And even though it is an XS, I can STILL wear a bulky sweater/sweatshirt underneath no problem. Wish it had a double zipper for driving, but it has not really been a problem. Could also use lining - at least at neck and cuffs. I HAVE to wear a scarf around my neck otherwise I am itching constantly. I am considering adding lining since I am capable of sewing it in myself. Attractive coat, easy to wear, goes with anything. Warm enough for me, since I really don't have any reason to go out when it is under 20F. Reccommended - but hope the company takes my (and other reviewers) requests for improvements.

I enter bliss when I put my coat on! The coat is surprisingly VERY light, made with great attention to detail, and top quality material. I expect to wear mine for at least 10 years. What attracted me most to this coat is the no nonsense design focusing on function rather than frills.
The only thing I can think of to improve is the name used to describe the color. I had never seen anything desribed as 'raisin' and was pleasantly surprised to see upon its arrival that it matches exactly the color of the image online, a color others often refer to as 'plum'.

Works well if I'm wearing full-up layers, but when wearing only a shirt and sweater vest, my arms were cold. I haven't had a chance to test it in really cold temperatures because of an unusually warm December. I usually wear a size medium and had to return this coat for a large because it was too snug, particularly when wearing a sweater underneath. Nevertheless, I love it and have worn it nearly every day since receiving it. No one else seems to carry this particular style, and I had been looking for this exact coat for quite some time.

I'm so pleased with this coat that I wear it all the time. When it is colder, I would just add layers; the coat is generous in sizing, but not bulky at all; has a beautiful sleek and flattering fit. Only thing I'd change is a 2 way zipper, which would make driving in a car much easier. Still, I absolutely LOVE my new coat!! Thank you, Woolrich!

This is the second time I'm purchasing this coat. I had bought one last year, and sadly reurned it, thinking it was not warm enough for winter. After reading all the great reviews again, I thought it must be me, so I tried it again, ordered the color I loved...the raisin heather. I am so happy with this coat; there is so much to love about it...the flattering fit, the color, the softness, the versatility of being able to dress up or down, and the perfect hood for my large head. I've been wearing this coat every chance I get. I just need to layer it when the weather is especially cold. Even though I am a size 8-10 on the top, I ordered the Small, and it is a generous fit, with plenty of room for layering. Thank you so much, Woolrich!

I really like this coat. It's warm, comfortable, easy to wear. I find the arms and shoulders too big and wish they were a bit more tailored.

This is my second coat in this style. I bought one in 2004. I was the coat that fit the most situations for the last seven winters. It is long enough to cover cold seats in the car, but it is not too bulky and heavy getting in and out of the car or shopping in stores. If it is really cold there is room to layer a sweater under. Looks OK with jeans or skirts. Great for 3 seasons. Wool just feels better than synthetics.

I bought the same coat 2 years ago and it has a 2-way zipper, Why did you change that?? A coat this length needs a 2-way in order to sit in it without pulling on the zipper. CAn you send me a 2-way zipper to put in my new coat???

This was actually a gift for my picky daughter, she just loves it. It is casual to wear everyday and dressy enough to wear to church, and it keeps here warm. Everyone is intitled to there own opinions, and not all pleases everyone. I am considering getting one for me and I don't need another coat, but it is a Woolrich and you can never have to many. And yes it does get cold and windy in Texas.

The coat is very comfortable. I have not found the one-way zipper to be a problem while driving. I was concerned about warmth and about how wrinkled it would be when it arrived after reading reviews.

I have been pleasantly surprised. I was able to take the coat out of the bag and wear it right away. No wrinkles. I live in the midwest and it is COLD right now. I wear my scrub jacket to work with knit cuffs, it helps keep out the draft. The coat keeps me very warm, there is room for a sweater under if need be. I like the length it is much better than a ski jacket and keeps my legs warm as well.

I have had the Milano coat (in Camel - which is no longer offered) for at least 5 years and I wear it everyday in the winter. It is starting to pill a bit and the elbows are wearing thin. The only improvements I would ask is for a 2-way zipper (to be more comfortable in the car) and inside pockets (perhaps sewn inside directly opposite the outer pockets. I love the double faced wool and I hope they don't change that. Would be nice in a dark brown color choice.

This is a great coat that I also have in blue. I would like the body of the coat a little wider as I like to wear cords and sweaters in winter. Would buy it again in brown if available. You cant beat wool.
