Been purchasing Woolrich products for years and the quality seems to be on a downward spiral. The fabric is thin and wrinkles very easily. Doesn't seem to fit prior Woolrich standards.

Great coat! It's stylish as well as warm. For really cold days--below zero--it may require warm under layers, but otherwise, it was exactly what I wanted. I bought one in both tan and onyx. The only issue I had was that they are larger in size than normal---I usually wear and XL but had to exchange them for L's. The XL looked like I was wearing a tent and I'm 6'0, 230lbs. Keep that in mind when ordering

A light weight top coat, to be worn with layers underneath. A decent base layer, a wool shirt, pants with a lining, a wool sweater, a goose down shirt jac, and the proper hat, scarf, and gloves.

Those chilly days won't be a problem if you're dressed for success.....and I don't mean wearing shorts under your raincoat when you go to a strip club.

This is a top coat. That means that you wear it on top of your jacket and sweater. The fit should be generous enough for multiple layers. Your layers should insulate body heat to keep you warm. Your top coat is suppose to shield you from the elements. This coat does a decent job. Although it's not much of a barrier in a storm of heavy rain and snow, it does fine on dry days. The kind of dry days allow you to "rest" your rain gear.

Navy pea coats are thicker, heavier, and warmer. But this item is a fine civilian compromise. You can't always walk around in military surplus gear.

Keep in mind that we all have different bodies. I tend to hive a strong heart rate, good metabolism, healthy circulation, and my body produces a good amount of heat at a rapid rate. My girl is very small, somewhat anemic, and is always cold no matter what. I can engage in outdoor activities in the snow, and perspire enough that I want to shed layers. She can do the same right along side, and be shivering and complaining. And we're not talking about chopping firewood, but light activity like ice skating. So while this coat does a fine job of keeping me warm, results may vary depending on who you are and how you use it.

Bought this unstructured (raglan sleeves, no shoulder padding) jacket for my 5'10" husband, who is a Woolrich XL in shirts and sweaters. But in XL the jacket was humongous. Exchanged it for a L, which is fine, even over a heavy sweater.

I use this jacket for every day use and for special occasions. Very versatile and stylish. I usually buy large but I sent it back for a medium and it's a much better fit.

Looks great, warm enough when wearing a sweater underneath. Just the right length. Wish the zipper was a little smoother though. It seems cheap compared to the rest of the coat. No problems with wrinkles.

I like this coat so far, though our weather here hasn't gotten too cold yet. I feel as though this will hold up to the Wisconsin winters just fine. This coat is large enough that I can wear a sweater underneath, yet feels comfortable over a simple t-shirt. I wasn't a fan of the zipper (every other coat I have owned recently has been button only), but the option to zip up from the bottom is very nice. I also was apprehensive about the button cover, but realised that this will block a substantial amount of wind. The material was stiff right out of the box, but I think that with time, it will relax a bit. I love the corduroy trim on the button flaps, a very nice touch. I would recommend this product however, I wish it was not made in China. It's a personal preference, but I would like to see more made in the USA, especially from a higher end haberdasher such as Woolrich.

This is a great coat. It runs a bit big, but it's hard to determine size when ordering on-line, especially if you're often between sizes. If in doubt, I would order smaller. Other than that, it is nicely made and I really like the zipper, button combination.

The coat looks nicer in the picture than in real life (you can't even see the pockets). It's also quite long. I love Woolrich, but this item is way too plain looking so I returned it.

Great quality coat just what I expected from Woolrich. I read a review where a customer said he receive his coat full of wrinkles and that the buttons where falling, knowing Woolrich quality I order mine and, well, my coat did not have any wrinkles on it and the buttons are in place.
the size is perfect, I recomend this coat 100%
