The coat does what a coat is supposed to do - keep one warm. I'm happy with it. I was a little disappointed in the light, milky chocolate appearance. Looked darker in the website photo.

I really like this coat, it came in the mail the day before temperature dropped down to -26. I have been warm throughout this extreme cold weather. This coat looks great with chinos/dockers as well as jeans.

However, the zipper seems to be wearing the fabric where the two halves join at the beginning of travel. One week into owning this coat and I fear that I will need to replace the zipper next year.

I am 5'7" 205 lb. 46" chest and 38 inch waist. I originally ordered XL. It was huge. [...] The Large fits great even with a sweater and dress shirt. If there was one thing I could add to this jacket it would be an inside waist cinch to keep cold air from coming up from the bottom and give the coat a little more definition. I was dissappointed with the customer reviews that were posted. There were 2 out of three that stated the jacket ran larger than the size. I normally wear a 2xl and that was the size I ordered and it ran small. The color was not true to the picture.

Had Woolrich all my life. This was the first time the quality and size was out the door. Could have fit 2 people inside of the larger, always wear larger in my other Woolrich coats. Color was much lighter. Did not feel warm.

It's large enough for me to layer other warm weather clothes underneath. It's a great over coat.

I received my Field Coat today. I ordered the Nutmeg, and I was a bit surprised to see the color is a bit darker than what I saw on the website. But still a beautiful color. The quality of the seam, and wool seem to be of high standard. Apparently they have addressed the button issue, as my buttons are sewn on snugly, with ample threading.I am sorta at an in between size of a L and XL. [...] I opted for the XL. This coat designed to be worn atop of full layers, and still give you plenty of room. Well for me, it looks like I am wearing a gigantic bag. I am ordering a size smaller.If you are like me, and in between sizes, consider now much layering you will be doing. If you wear a suit jacket, or bulky sweaters, you may be ok with the XL, but if you a more casual type dresser like me, really consider going down a size.

The jacket was not folded carefully prior to packaging, and the jacket is loaded with wrinkles.

This is, without a doubt, the warmest coat that I've ever owned. I've owned and worn a USAF "snorkel"-hooded survival parka (back in the days when they came with a real wolf-fur ruff on the hood); raincoats with zip-out liners; wool overcoats; lined parkas; a leather aviator's jacket; and a USAF MA-1 jacket as fall/winter wear, and NONE of them was as warm as this coat. This coat is so warm that I have to be careful to wear it only when it's REALLY cold out, or I'll overheat!
