Comments about Women's Mount Forest TechnoWool™X Jacket:
I normally wear a small size, but ordered the XS due to reviews. It's a perfect fit for a 5'1" 110 lb frame. This fits like a petite instead of regular as the sleeves and body lenght are just right for me, which is a nice surprise. Dry clean only but well worth it. Use another finger when starting the zipper to put pressure on the lower zipper clasp, then listen for the click so it zips up smoothly. Fits fine with a shirt and even sweatshirt underneath.

Sporty Yet Classy

About Me Trendy/Stylish Dresser
I rate this high on fit, but it actually fits large through the shoulders on me. I gave it a high rating because everything else fits great and I have a small frame. I am 5'2" and 105 lbs and ordered the extra small. I really love the red color and the sporty style with the wool fabric. It can be dressed up or down. I will wear in the transitional seasons and have been wearing it in our moderate winter weather this year. Not too warm to wear while shopping.

Not a good fit.
By Katydid

I liked the color and style of the jacket. Normally, I am a size medium or large (in coats). I ordered a medium in this jacket and it was HUGE in the shoulder area. I had to send it back. Spent over $20 in shipping and have nothing to show for it!!

Love This Jacket!
By Angelique

Love the color of this jacket. Also like the gripper waist. Really helps keep the jacket in place. Very versatile, can be dressed up or down. The sleeves were a bit long for me. I'm petite and that happens with most coats and jackets. Overall a great purchase!

About Me Classic Dresser
This is a great fleece. My boyfriend and sister both (seperately) commented what a classy looking fleece it is. Nice sporty mesh lining adds versatility. Wool has a durable look that outshines traditional polyester. Zipper pulls with red woolrich tartan looks classy. Warm but not crazy warm. I got the Aloe color pleasant. Got a small..I'm 5'8. Sleeves are just long enough but cutting it close!

Great Product

I love this jacket! I was finally able to afford to buy it this year on sale. It is a very well-made product that fits me perfectly. Enough room for a sweater underneath if needed. Much attention to detail on the construction. The color and overall look is lovely. I have already received numerous compliments after just a few wearings. Thanks!
Nice Looking for Cool/Cold, Dry Weather
By Taijlored

This is the third of these I have, and the light blue is a nice addition to the red and taupe versions I already have. I'm not certain these are the BEST wind blockers, (I haven't really tested that), but they are a nice warm short-jacket for cool and moderately cold weather. No doubt the high-quality, fairly dense wool would also shed mist and light snow, but again I haven't encountered those situations. I like to wear them as an alternative to leather, but not to replace down or fleece-with-shell options. Also note some of these are boxier and some are more shapely in cut. I don't know how to order one cut or the other since I have received both from them but the difference isn't great and I like them either way. I believe the newest cut is the modern one so sale jackets may have the boxier style. This is a nice looking fall/early-winter short-jacket option.

beautiful fabric
By CareerGal

I bought this jacket along with another one to choose which one I liked best. The wool was lovely in the TechnoWool jacket! The sizing was just too large for my petite frame. I could not afford to keep both jackets, so I kept the less expensive jacket that was a bit smaller.

I have worn this jacket every day since I received it. It is warm and comfortable. It is short so I am not sitting on it in the car when driving.

Incredible Jacket!
By Mare

This jacket is a dream! I set out to find a red wool jacket and hit the jackpot! The gripper waist gently keeps the jacket in place. No ride-up. The polar fleece lining on the collar is soft and comfortable. Exterior and interior pockets are great for cell phone, etc. Thank-you for such a wonderful product.

This jacket is a winner!

Although I like to be stylish, I've not been able to find a single winter jacket that will accommodate layers, esp. a wool sweater. Most of today's styles are cut way too narrow in the sleeve, and way too waist-cinching. (As though a woman wouldn't want to be as comfortable and warm as a man in cold and snowy weather. ) Then I found this jacket! It's boxy, but the rubbery strip at the bottom keeps the back in place. You can wear two or three layers under it, even a bulky sweater, and still look neat and classic. The fabric is boiled wool that's very dense but fine (no pilling), the collar can be worn up or down and the two way zipper makes it easy to drive in. If you want to look like a toothpick, this isn't the jacket for you. But if you want a practical and classic jacket, this is the one. I'm a petite 6 and the XS fit perfectly, even the sleeves! Thank you, Woolrich, for another superior product!

Superb

Couldn't be more pleased. Old-fashioned quality and appointments in a trim and trendy design that's at the same time classic. Am quite sure I'll be donning this baby MANY years. My only criticisms are that, for me, the collar is a smidgeon high and the sleeves a bit long. Wish it came in petite. But I'll always wear a turtleneck with this anyway, and will either get by with the sleeves or have them taken up (the plain cuffs make that easily doable). "Might" have been able to get by with an XS, but that's a size I never wear. The S is not "big," yet it leaves ample room for layering or a hefty sweater underneath with no binding. The pockets are in the precise location for warming hands and roomy enough for up to medium-heavy gloves (perhaps not enough room for the big puffy ones without looking stuffed). The quality zippers operate well, and the ability to unzip the bottom is in keeping with practicality for flexible warmth control. This coat, teamed with some great walking shoes, is perfect for Metroing into DC and wandering around the mall and museums all day during most days of at least 6 months out of the year. The green color, BTW, is as fabulous as I'd hoped. All in all, I couldn't be more tickled.

Ordered over the weekend and it cam Tuesday! Amazing!
Ichy, fits close to body
By d4brown

Probably a fine coat, materials & construction always nice at woolrich but I was looking for one like my last one from woolrich which had a much softer lining and more layering room. This one fits close to body has a "gripper" hem and a high collar. Sorry, itchy is probably not a fair reason to send it back but I will.

I love how I can wear another bulky fleece top or sweater under it because there is enough room. I didn't have to size up. No itchiness!!

The jacket fits so you can layer under but would be too bulky to layer over. It is well made, the pockets are deep and zip...always useful for carrying my gloves, etc. Woolrich has always done a nice job when it comes to using wool as their main fabric. The jacket is long enough to cover my lower back. The collar is not itchy. It is worth the price.
